I was in Costco yesterday when I saw someone wearing a W t-shirt. |
|
I was tempted to ask was he happy with his selection of President. I never got the nerve up, I didn't feel like getting into a debate. So, has anyone in the DU nation ever confronted a "Forest W. Gump" supporter and asked them are they satisfied with whom is occupying 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue? If so, what happened?

At least he's inadvertently donating to Democrats. Don't scare him away.

They complain about the war in Iraq or outsourcing or tax cuts for the rich and I tell them, "you voted for it!" And they say, no I didn't I voted for moral values. I tell them it's a package deal and they just can't accept that. Weird!

What's the Matter With Kansas. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/080507774X/qid=1120845167/sr=2-1/ref=pd_bbs_b_2_1/102-7101205-0524947it explains the shell game of voting for "moral values" and getting war, voting for fewer abortions and getting tax cuts for the rich. it's a great read.

The recent book "What's the Matter With Kansas" is all about how Republicans successfully conned middle America into falling for this "moral values" crap.

|
Edited on Fri Jul-08-05 02:00 PM by TheFarseer
A farmer who is against gov't programs has lost his mind. For one thing, they'd be broke in no time flat without subsidies and for another, my folks wouldn't have electricity without REA.
In fact my dad said something that had my jaw on the floor the other day. "Republicans always want to scalp the farm program and Democrats always save us. Democrats have got to get some morals so people can vote for them, cause we need them"

The species known as freeperus ignoramicus is very dangerous if provoked in its natural habitat. Known for its tiny, walnut-sized brain, this fellow will usually resort to physical violence when confronted by facts, logic or any combination of the two. It is best to keep a safe distance.

14. A guy at a 4th of July BBQ I was at had a W campaign shirt |
|
He looked young and healthy. I was so tempted to ask him why he was here eating and enjoying the holiday instead of defending America in Iraq, but I had to be on good behavior because I was a guest at the party.
So I just avoided him, talked to my friends and family.

24. A house near me has a big W on siding paper |
|
Edited on Fri Jul-08-05 01:20 PM by jojo54
The window next to it is supposed to indicate the zero, then there's a 4, so it's W 04.
Think about this - it's on siding paper and it's been this way ever since. Something tells me this person doesn't give a shit about his house being half finished with new siding.
What a mindfuck.
