Where do you get your news? |
|
What sites are the most accurate?
And where do you get your best political information?

9. I agree- all those links are on Buzzflash & LBN... |
|
...my "Front Page" is LBN or Buzzflash- but you are right- one should always "shop around" the various "wires" & services...

Google News is also very good in terms of getting current articles (they update it about every 10 minutes) from literally thousands of sources, so i use it often. Only caveat there is that you can end up getting articles from random small/fake outlets that are not always valid. Luckily though i haven't seen any Talon or NewsMax crap there, and very few articles from Faux actually.

8. I'm old enough to remember when families listened to the radio ... |
|
... and discussed what was being reported; when families read the newspaper, especially on Sunday, and discussed the news reports; when front porches were where people in the neighborhood discussed the news.
LBN carries on in that tradition.

And then proceeds to the NY Times, Comcast's news feeds, BBC, Washington Post, The Montgomery County Gazette Newspapers and The Weather Channel. Hell if I know who's the most accurate, no news outlets report on what I do. So, I read several.... I watch TV news if I want to get any sort of visual, usually in cases of Natural Disasters, otherwise, TV news is more about entertainment and selling commercials than informing anybody...
This is going to sound bad, but I really do not pay much attention to political information because it is nearly always bullshit. Or, put differently, I make my own political information. Usually, I get my political information here, from people arguing.

As a proud member of the tinfoil hat club, I find all sorts of weirdness on Richard Metzger's site. It's a nice compendium for news involving everything from conspiracies, apocalypse culture, and occult theory as well as progressive indy news.
