Is there a reason why we would believe another countries Foreign Minister
more than our own? (our "Foreign Minister" is 'Secretary of State' Condolezza Rice)

Should we believe Canada's, Britain's (Foreign Secretary) , France's, Japan's, China's, Pakistan's, Iraq's, Israel's?

Do you know anything about any of these people?

Would you know their name if you heard it?

So when we hear " Israeli Foreign Minister Silvan Shalom officially denied reports that Scotland Yard passed any information to Israel regarding the bombings" - why is that any different than if our Secretary of State said that? Do we assume that all other countries have only trustworthy people in office while we alone do not?

2. The potential for truth rises sharply as one leaves the US and the
members of the bush regime behind.

3. I don't know anything about those people
They might be good / they might be bad. They don't have the power of the US military - but many of them have enough power - I imagine - to have some kind of power trip.

I suppose it stinks to think other countries politicians might be just as bad as ours - but unless I have more info - I have no reason to assume they are better.

4. I would trust anyone before I would trust
this administration. When you start your term off by being appointed by the Supreme Court, don't expect me to trust a damn thing you say or do. The idiot's entire term has been ONE BIG LIE AFTER ANOTHER. No truth comes from those people. NONE.

5. They follow their own agenda, as everybody does...
they represent the policies of their nations, and do the job as good as they can. Which includes diplomatic lies. I like Joska Fischer from Germany, Barnier and Villepin for France were good professionals with a high level of independence and skills, Douste-Blazy (the one in charge since may the 29th) is the "best" Chirac could find, since he had to fire Barnier making him the scapegoat of the clusterf*ck with the referendum about the European Constitution...

Jack Straw (UK) is a skilled Blair's poodle.

Summary : with a rotten administration, you'll have a rotten foreign minister. Then it depends how good they are as "salesmen". In a way a "good" one is more dangerous than a "Bolton-type". Powell was respected and gave an aura of respectability to Bush.

Btw, the Associated Press must also be part of the Zionist conspiracy.

<snip>
Israeli Finance Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was on his way to a hotel near the scene of one of the London blasts Thursday when he received a call to stay put, the foreign minister said.

"After the first explosion, our finance minister received a request not to go anywhere," Finance Minister Silvan Shalom told Israel Army Radio.
<snip>

Then again, I'm sure you think that the 'Zionists' control the media.

and I don't think it matters what country it is.

What I do find disturbing is people protecting us from saying anything about it - just like the Republicans who don't want anyone to say anything bad about Bush.

I think issues should be discussable. That is all I expect.

How did you find this thread anyway?
