American right wingers are more like the terrorists than we are.

I know it is obvious, but I like to state the obvious from time to time so people remember how obvious it is.

Right wingers in this country are a lot more like radical Islamists and, yes, radical Islamic terrorists than left wingers are. Put a far right wing American Freeper in the same room as an Al Qaeda terrorist, and they would have a lot to talk about -- whether about gays, or government, women or those in other religions. In effect, the right wing sides with the terrorists on most issues, in principle if not in degree -- and sometimes in degree.

Timothy McVeigh, the perpetrator of the second worst terrorist attack against our country was a registered Republican. Now, of course, I'm not saying all right wingers are terrorists, but aren't most terrorists right wingers?

So explain to me how liberals are supposed to feel bad about terrorism again. I'm not sure it makes sense. It's clear as day: More liberals in the world means less terrorism.
