Here's a dose of truth for the Republican Party in Washington, D.C.: your war-mongering policies and devotion to creating a constant state of panic/fear in this country has made America less safe, especially in light of your negligence on homeland security. Your heated rhetoric that indicts the strength and patriotism of progressives is a sad attempt to cover up your own pathetic failures.

Now, here's a dose of truth for the insulated Democratic establishment in Washington - an establishment that continues to lose elections, yet, incredibly, refuses to change: if you continue to pathetically cower in the face of all of this; if you continue to ignore the courageous lawmakers in your ranks who know the party needs to stand up; if you continue to defend the Iraq War in light of public opposition to it, in light of proof that the Bush administration lied about it and in light of proof it made America less safe; and if you continue to have positively no courage of any convictions and positively no ability to give voice to the concerns of the majority of Americans, then you will continue losing elections far into the future.

2. One problem with this site!

I can't understand why WorkingforChange allows Jen Sorenson to poke fun at Burger King for making America fat, while on the same page promote Ben and Jerry Ice Cream.

Seems a bit selective at best, but more like hypocritical to me!

For the all the good B&J has done, they're more guilty than most, when it comes to hurting Americans with their product!

3. Ben and Jerry's doesn't market themselves as a healthy meal

for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

There's a massive difference between a fast-food joint that has outlets on every other block and sells complete meals and a desert manufacturer.

4. My problem with the making people fat issue is that this is something

that education needs to focus more on. A person has to know if he eats a ton of french fries, 10 lbs of beef, this is going to have an effect on your weight and health. I myself fall off of the ice creams wagon once in a while, I love the stuff. But i do watch what I eat, go to the gym on a regular basis and things take care of themselves. But others don't have the nutrition education background and do what they have to do.

However, there is such a thing as common sense too.
