"Resolve" is the new buzzword?

Seems as though freedomdemocracy has been replaced now with the word "resolve". Smirky has used this word repeatedly since the London bombing and in the radio address today. Here are some examples:

Calling for "resolve" to keep fighting. Capitalizing on the British tragedy for their own political gain. The hubris is just astounding. But also, there may be some fear that the world is not resolve to continue the never ending war?

1. Resolve is a good thing unless you are wrong then

you are just being resolved to continue a mistake. How can you stay the course, when you are off course? Makes no sense....

2. Resolve is a great virtue for Bush to Champion because

it is morally blank. It is just doing what you are already doing. Sticking to the plan. It says nothing about whether the original plan was a good plan or a moral plan.
