5. Three or four months in the slammer ain't gonna do it

She's going to do her 3 or 4 months in jail, be released, be called a "martyr", and probably make a ton of dough with a book deal.

The only thing that will make her talk is to somehow extend her stay at Club Fed - say, threaten her with 3 years. THEN she'll be willing to spill the beans.

6. She didn't seem to say much

She was boring so I kind of tuned her voice into the background. Listened a little at the end and her argument appeared to be basically:

1) Journalism is important and sources are important to journalism

2) Husband and wife don't have to testify against one another. Priests and paritioners. Doctors and patients. So why not journalists?

Not very compelling, but between the people arguing both sides there were some good arguments made. The biggest point against federal legal protections for journalists seemed to be: how do you define what exactly is a journalist?

Biggest point for legal protections are that Joe DiGenova and his wife Victoria Toensning are against them.
