Here, we have a "Democratic" Candidate proclaiming |
|
things like ...
"President George Bush had the courage and the vision... and we will always be grateful to President George Bush for that tremendous leadership and statesmanship."
and ...
"I'm very glad we've got the great team in office, men like Colin Powell, Don Rumsfeld, Dick Cheney, Condoleezza Rice... people I know very well - our president George W. Bush. We need them there."
And some of you still stick up for Clark, insisting he's our savior! And then bash DRUDGE for bringing it up!!!
HAHA, this is hilarious. What a joke some of you people are!

1. I'm pretty sure most Clark supporters were *thanking* Drudge... |

... for bringing it up, actually.
That was my take, at any rate.

Look Pastiche about earlier I dont like Kerry's support of IWR as much as you do but I have to be impartial and look at the truth which is while Kerry fucked up big time supporting IWR he is a liberal democrat with good positions on some issues. Not my candiate I just wanted to clear things up. I am as partisan as they get honestly but theres a part of me that tries to be fair too.

It's VERY strange that it's a "blame the messenger" kind of thing. If Clark actually said those things (support for all of those Republicans) these people calling this post a "troll" are all accomplices in the HIJACKING of the Democratic party. They should read the rules: this discussion board is for PROGRESSIVES.

There is nothing "underground" and certainly nothing "democratic" about this place. This is a MODERATE REPUBLICAN board at best.
But I am thankful for those of you on here who do seem to be real democrats and genuine liberals... Though few you are.

'Servants of the anti-Christ' is the proper term. All Republicans are evil; anyone who is not with us is with the Republicans, and therefore, Servants of the anti-Christ.
That this is the mirror image of Rushdom should be ignored by everyone.

- Perhaps some have a different perspective on things? Why should any 'loyal' Dem sit back and watch his party taken over by those who would feel just as comfortable in the Republican party?
- The 'centrists' are going to compromise our party to death.

I am still very much a dem for everyone's information and I will support the eventual dem nominee. but I do think we gotta be left, this run to the center stuff just alienates me. Wellstone once said politics is about doing well for people, explains the Kucinich avatar doesnt it :). BTW the full quote is in Franken's new book on 205 I think.

26. Along the lines of... |
|
MR. RUSSERT: Let me turn to the man you’d like to unseat if you become the Democratic nominee, and that’s George Bush. You’d spoke to Vogue magazine in March, and said this. “Kerry is unguarded in his comments about the man whose job he is currently after. He says his colleagues are appalled at the president’s ‘lack of knowledge’... And...he says, ‘They have managed him the same way they managed Ronald Reagan. They send him out to the press for one event a day, they put him in a brown jacket and jeans and get him to move some hay or drive a truck, and all of a sudden he’s the Marlboro Man. I know this guy. He was two years behind me at Yale, and I knew him, and he’s still the same guy.’” What does that mean?
SEN. KERRY: I believe that President Bush is a very likable fellow, and I respect—I think he’s a good man who wants to do good things.
=========>
Anybody care to disagree with Mr. Kerry?

34. You have a point to ponder |
|
No doubt, if Clark is the nominee, we will be seeing a lot of Bush commercials featuring Clark and all those nice things he said about Bush and his administration.
That gives them a natural "negative" attack strategy, without any fingerprints but Clark's.
Clark has to explain why he has changed his mind. In doing so, he may connect with a hell of a lot of voters. Don't forget, Bush was at 85% at one point, and now he is down in the high 40's. So millions have made the same U-turn on Bush that Clark has. Millions are rethinking their political beliefs. Maybe enough to actually realign the American political landscape.
That's my 2 cents, from a proud 15%er, still undecided.

My mom was a Stevenson delegate in 52. She walked precints for JFK in 1960. She took me to the front of a rope line in 1964 when I was six years old to shake RFK's hand... I was a Kennedy delegate in 1980. An autographed picture of RFK sits on my dresser drawers. An autographed picture of Bill Clinton thanking me for my work for the Democratic party sits next to an autographed picture of Muhammad Ali in my study... I am Democratic to my marrow... And then some clown comes here and calls my friends "Moderate Republicans" and dupes for supporting a particular candidate...
