AARP's full page social security ad in LA Times:
in yesterday's (SAT) preview edition of the Sunday LA Times the AARP has a full page ad saying, in large type:

"If it looks like PRIVATE accounts

and acts like PRIVATE accounts

it's probably PRIVATE accounts"

followed by some small text explanation and advises people to call their legislators ...

1. I guess AARP learned their lesson
after supporting the disastrous Medicare Bill. They lost a TON of subscribers...my mom and dad included. :)

3. not sure if that is effective
The sheeple out there will fail to read the small text explaination. They already got the part that its private accounts, but they might fail to understand how private accounts are NOT the solution and how private accounts actually will lead to Soc. Security CUTS.

8. I saw a simple one, can't remember the source but...
I liked

"Private Social Security Accounts by the same people who brought you Enron"

I like short and sweet :) May reach more of the sheeple.
