Anyone here PRAYING for Dennis to come where you live? |
|
We are here in Missouri.
I feel bad about the destruction that's going to happen in the gulf coast, but a meterologist here in St. Louis said that if Dennis doesn't reach here, or moves off to the east that we're screwed. We haven't had significant rain in a LONG time and things are getting nearly as bad as the dust bowl days of the 30's according to some old-timers. Also Dennis will give a much-needed cool-down after we've had 90-100 degree temps for weeks straight.

Can you believe we're terrified of hurricanes now in eastern Ohio? The remnants of hurricane Ivan caused horrific mudslides and so much damage that we're still trying to recover. Last summer it rained in my living room. My roof failed under 14 inches of water in 9 hours. :(

2. I'm still telling Dennis to get the hell out of my neighborhood. |
|
And he just won't leave. He's been here for 24 hours, but just a glancing blow. Not near the destruction he's going to cause up north.

4. We've got 50 mph winds, and it's raining sideways here in Alabama |
|
We've had far too much rain down here. Maybe some will come your way from this.
I've noticed you guys in the midwest have had much higher temperatures than the normally hot SE USA. For most of June and July our highs have been in the 80s, with a few in the low 90s.
