Fun talking point to enrage republicans- "Coalition of the Willing"
Edited on Thu Sep-25-03 07:40 PM by Dr Fate
When debating with your Puke advesary, or even a "fence sitter"- bring up one of Bush/media's most repeated pre-war talking points- the mighty "Coalition of the Willing!"

Here are a few fun talking points to stir things up and get people thinking:

"Why is Bush talking to the UN at all?- he said they were a 'tea party' and a 'debate society' and that they were 'irrelevant'- dont you remember when Bush/media insisted that we had a 'Coalition of the Willing' that would take the place of the UN- where are they now-why did he not give his speech to them?"

"Whenever anyone DARED to suggest that we may not have enough international support- Bush/Media- quickly corrected that "traitor" with this reassuring "fact": - 'never fear -we have the mighty COALITION OF THE WILLING- we dont NEED the UN!!!'-remember that?"

"$87 BILLION DOLLARS!!!!! JEEZUS- Where are we gonna ever get that???!?!?! I know!!!! Instead of us tax-payers taking the brunt of this- perhps Bush could visit the Coalition of the Willing Headquarters located in Cypruss and ASK THEM for some of it!!! After all- this coalition DOES exist- right??"

etc, etc- FUN- becuase it flabbergasts republicans who cannot rebut without basically ADMITTING that the Coalition was a hoax- also fun because it gets "fence sitters" who trusted Bush thinking- "hmm-what about that 'Coalition'we used to hear so much about...'"

1. "Coalition of the Willing Headquarters"
LMAO! Good stuff here, Dr Fate.

Oh, and it's $87 billion.... and it's important to bring up to wingnut pals that $87 billion is nothing more than a down-payment. It's gonna amount to a helluva lot more than $87 bill.

2. The repugs I know
would just ignore everything you said and go on some rant about those evil environmentalists. When all else fails, change the subject.

12. LOL Yup...
or pointedly ask, "Do You Want To See Saddam Still Running Iraq?" and screech that your a liberal/'insert' epithet that supports Saddam, hates America...
Essentially they have nothing to go on anymore...Their Leader has abandoned them to their tiny little brains...

3. That will be fun stuff
Even better, bring up that stuff AND pull out a couple of documents I took the liberty of downloading and show those two to them:

http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2003/03/20030319-1.html

http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/afp/20030917/pl_afp/us_iraq_whouse&cid=1521&ncid=1473

I'm gonna pull those two on for a surprisingly intelligent Bush supporter in my English 100 class this Wednesday. I wonder how he is going to like seeing those two document, both of which are true and come from "irrefutable" sources }(. I think I'll also bring up the points you mentioned Doc. Thanks!

5. I doubt they will
They will probably look at his new proposal and say something to the effect of, "Do you think we're as dumb as you?"

8. How about the references to "coalition" casualties and
"coalition" deaths. What a slap in the face to the US military.

9. You are right- Bush/Media did make that claim...

...so why do we even need that stupid ol UN- we gots us this COALITION OF THE WILLING!!!!!

Funny how the media talks about our lack of support, but these exact same "journalists" were reassuring us they we did indeed have a "coalition" just a few months ago- Looks like Bush/media cant keep their lies straight...

That is so true.
How can they constantly refer to the coalition on the one hand while asking for support on the other. Either it's a coalition, which implies partnership, or it isn't. It isn't.

11. Amazing how simple logic escapes so many Bush/media belivers...
Edited on Thu Sep-25-03 10:28 PM by Dr Fate
Thank you for putting it so simply: Coalition=support. Bush/media said we had a coalition, yet Bush still asks for support...HUH????

Do you think as many good intentioned folks would have supported the Iraq War if they had not been LIED to about the "support" we would have, despite the lack of UN troops and funds???

I really think this is one of the "BIG LIES" that could make some "common sense" type voters question Bush/media and the lies...
