Feedback from a DIEHARD Republican
Just spoke to my Mother - who would never, ever vote for a Democrat BUT I wanted to see what she had to say about Bush and his numbers.

She said" I can't believe it - it's just terrible! He really got into a mess. EVERYTHING'S going wrong - the economy. It's just hard to believe." then "Poor Bush".

POOR BUSH!!! Can you believe it?

I started to go on and on about Cheney and Halliburton - told her that Cheney had stock in Halliburton etc., etc. and pushed us into the war and that he was a no-good crook. It went in one ear and out the other.

I will be bringing her in for de-programming tomorrow.....

1. The underdog
We CANNOT let him get into the underdog role. Americans love the underdog, the guy who inherited a mess and worked his little heart out to make it better. NOOOO!!!! I don't know how to avoid it, but we've got to be very wary of it.

3. Is the feelings of a bush more important than a whole USA?
I imagine there are more than your mum who feel this way. I wonder what guides them?

4. yesterday ray taliafero went into it
the poor and middle class are attracted by power
that was the conclusion reached.

After I listened to it I was far less sympathetic, it is
more akin to an abusive relationship, one that the abused
cannot seem to break for fear of change and all that
happy horse manure.

7. They think he's looking out for them...
They're in the upper tax bracket. It's also a habit. Everyone on the both sides of the family is Republican (except me - I'm now the black sheep of the family for turning into a Dem). Our home town is Republican.

But they're elderly (73 and 83) - how are they going to feel when Medicare gets cut? They say that they don't need Social Security and think it's "ridiculous" that they get it. They've also lost a ton of money out of their investments. In addition, my mother is a Realtor and went from making in the mid 6 figures a year to about $20,000 this year, Yet they still think he's hunky-dory.

I guess when they've lost their entire portfolio and condo then they'll start to worry.

Everyone else here - they're gung-ho Republican. A lot of people here selling their million dollar homes and down-sizing to $500,000 (poor souls) homes. Yet they still love Bush. If things keep on going on the way that they are some of these people have to start getting p.o.'d.
