Casualties rising as administration's course become more confusing

After President Bush's speech to soldiers at Fort Bragg I am more confused by the direction the administration is taking our country. It is no comfort to find that Congress is also confused and the American public's confidence in leadership of the war has dipped below 50 percent.

1. Bush has no direction
He just wants the ultimate return to his corporate buddies. He has zero problem with our taxes leaving the country and benefiting world corporatists. That's what he is about.

His legacy will include his actions that turned this country into a third world nation. His payback to his oil buddies has hurt any occupation that depends on gas/oil to manufacture/deliver, from taxi driver to pizza delivery.

He continues to use our troops as cannon fodder in his war against Iraq that should have never been.

He is a disgrace and should be impeached.

2. I agree
He will be remembered in a very negative light which is nice to know. Just look at all the polls. Hopefully the next president will be democratic and we can turn this country around.

3. not so hopeful
The broad curtailments of civil liberties and the heavy-handed use of propaganda machinery are likely countermeasures against a perceived attempt at fomenting a "velvet revolution" or otherwise undue influence by some foreign power. It's likely that the elections will remain a sham for decades until the (likely undisclosed) foreign provocateur is no longer perceived to be a threat, and it will probably be a half century or more before what actually went on was ever disclosed (c.f. VENONA).
