London bombings give new urgency to Bush focus on fighting

WASHINGTON (AP) - President Bush sees last week's bombings in London as fresh proof of the need to aggressively fight terrorism.

Bush today delivers a progress report on the war on terror in a speech at the F-B-I training academy in northern Virginia. Officials say the address was planned before last week's London attacks. Bush focused on the issue in his radio address over the weekend, nothing the "free world did not seek this conflict, yet we will win it."

1. uh which conflict would that be, sonny?
Didn't junior just get finished telling us that the conflict he volunteered us into in Iraq was making us all safer 'cause we were fighting them on the streets of baghdad rather than the streets of London?

But our valiant leader is taking a big risk making a speech at the FBI academy. After all there might be somebody in the audience whose mind isn't on hold.

3. New Urgency in fighting terrorism?
Interesting. Maybe they should start by tracking down that Osama Bin Ladin fellow. I mean I guess he's big in these terrorism circles, isn't he?

5. Funny, I see this as the terrorists expanding and us losing this conflict
Are we really, fighting terrorism in the correct way? I am beginning to feel the republicans want to continue this war right or wrong, indefinitely. I believe they feel this will keep them in power. The crape about them being hawks and Dems being doves.
