I made the mistake....

of reading and then posting on a local forum. One of the other posters asked me what the victims of the WTC ever did. I'm sure you know how the conversation. Here is what I posted in response.

The 3000 people did nothing to deserve becoming the victims of such a despicable crime. NO ONE deserves to die such a death.

They were murdered by blind followers so consumed with hate they were willing to sacifice their own lives to attempt to kill them all and let God sort it out.

The murders were brainwhashed by thier leaders into believing that westerners are such a threat to thier people and their way of life that they should be hunted down and completly stamped out. They had been told that they must take the fight to the shores of thier enemies to expand the fighting beyond their own shores.

They proved they were such small individuals. They believed the lies fed to them. They listened to their leaders. They didn't question why their leaders and those close to them kept themselves far from the dangers. They believed their leaders when they said the enemy hated them for their relegion and thier freedoms. They believed thier leaders when they said the enemy wishes to come to our holy lands and destroy our sacred sites and steal our resources, even if it causes the deaths of women and children. They never questioned thier own leaders lust for power or lack of sacrifice. They thought they were the patriots. They thought they were fighting a just cause. They became cold blooded murderers.

Yes, I mourn the death of the victims. No, I don't believe that we should allow such a crime stand without finding criminals and bringing them to justice. However, if the response is hatred and destruction of the fabric of our great country then we have been defeated.

We are being divided and conquered. Divided we fall.

What is scary for me, is the blind devotion a political party, such as the republicans can instill. Perhaps it's just a character type flaw in the party? Lack of education and experience to form your own opinions? I think even that is a weak assumption on my part.

I'm often frustrated by our own leadership and party for their splits and divisions on issues and stances. We often seem to be all over the place and infighting results. "We eat our own." It's meant as a negative context, but I'm also proud we'd eat our own before backing someone like BushINC, Frist and the apostles. We are the party of free ideas and exchanges.

I think it's someone's nice way of saying Piss Off. But "Go out in the kitchen" makes no sense grammatically. =) Perhaps they read Santorum's new book, which if summarized correctly says: women should be baking cookies not working or thinking.

You know hun, you can't win them all nor change everyone's mind. There is always a chance, someone read what you had written and internalized what you had to say. Change always consists of one revelation of truth. Change also requires people actively engaged in the pursuit of truth.

If nothing else, we appreciated what you had to say.

another forum. The method must be in the Right Wing talking points manual.

Actually, I tend to think (or at least I hope) that it means that they know they cannot win a debate with me (even in their deluded way of thinking). Which seems to indicate they must know that I am may be more knowledgeable then them). So they think the best way to regain their superiority is to dismiss me in the "you are too stupid to even talk about this....don't worry your pretty little head". Up until I posted he had been spewing his shit in response to others and a couple of additional information (to kick his post). It stopped with my post and he hasn't contributed to any other threads since.

Either that or maybe it's my breath and they just don't want to talk to me anymore.
