I see a strong physical resemblance between Clark and Bush. I don't mean to sound shallow or superficial but this is a huge turnoff for me. If you listen closely to the texture of his voice and accent, he even sounds like Bush (although its obvious that Clark has a lot more intelligence). I'll try to look past these striking similarities but I'm not sure I can.

33. Keep in mind the E/I difference with Jung.
'Extraverted' denotes an "object oriented" personality, not necessarily unanalytical or outgoing.

"When in conversation, ESTPs always show self-restraint and tact. They generally interact in an open and friendly manner, always showing positive emotions. They do not like to openly express their opinions. During interaction ESTPs always try to show that they are paying full attention and that they understand their interlocutor very well. One of the ways they do this is by asking many questions concerning personal problems or opinions. They do this with masterful tact and delicacy, therefore gaining other peoples trust very quickly."

59. Typically,
they plunge into things without proper planning, take risks, may be somewhat impatient with theory, et cetera.

Here's a profile, though I could be wrong, Clark may be a completely different type. http://www.personalitypage.com/ESTP.html

Dean is probably an introverted intuitive, Kucinich is an introverted feeler, Gephardt is an extraverted thinker, etc.

84. It would be hard to know...unless we saw test results...subtleties......
.....it's too hard to assume with so little to go on. There's a thread on him down in Meeting Room....he's a Capricorn......I 've always felt that Myers-Briggs evolved out of Jung's studies....and Jung did delve into astrology. If you haven't been over there to see the thread on Clark......check it out. If you are totally opposed to astrology and think it's Crap, then don't...(I don't push astrology here) but it's an interesting compliment to Myers-Briggs, imho. :-)'s

I don't want anyone trashing or flaming me for this suggestion..it's just that.....

18. In what way?
I don't see all that much of a physical resemblence, but similar personality type? Like him or hate him, Clark is a major overachiever. He's got a list of accomplishments that makes me tired just reading it. Bush, on the other hand, is a classic slacker. Whatever your natural attributes, you have to have two very different minds to have gone down those wildly divergent paths.

I don't believe Clark is a self-oriented, a "more impassioned" man, i.e., an introvert. Clark comes across to me, anyway, very object oriented 'E', concrete 'S', analytical 'T', and open 'P'.

36. So...... it has come down to this?
I personally don't give a rat's a** what a potential candidate looks like. Nor do I care how he dresses or what his mannerisms are, ie, "stiff" etc. Likewise, I don't care for the politics of personal destruction that both parties, albeit mostly repubs, engage in. I want to hear what the candidates have to say about the issues that concern me, and what I hope concerns most if not, all Americans. Why can't we concentrate on that and not on what a candidate looks or sounds like? For the record I am not a Clark supporter.

67. HELL naw! H-E-L-L naw! Clark is hot, Bush is not.
Edited on Thu Sep-25-03 09:26 PM by tjdee
It's okay, my sister thinks Julia Roberts looks like Monica Potter.

Wesley has a stronger jaw and chin, has an all around better body, straighter hair and hot lips. Wesley Clark is one hunk of man. He also dresses better.

Meanwhile, Georgie's got a weird fro-ish thing happening with his hair, red patches, skin boils, different ears....

And if you can't tell the difference between Clark's clear gaze and Bush's druggie/drunk/confused narrow eyed blankness....well...I just don't even know, LOL.

I was told two seperate times that *I* looked like Bush. But I guess to an Asian, all middle age white guys with greying hair look the same. At least i hope that's the reason.

Bush sounds like a chimp, Clark sounds presidential.

I think there is a difference.

Damn, there is a lot to hit Clark over the head for, but his voice? What next, his hai.. oh wait. :eyes:

I actually agree, to a certain extent. This is what many of the more militant members of this board will call "anecdotal," but...

I was watching the debates while my (non-political) husband was on the computer in another room. As Wesley Clark was speaking, my husband yelled, "Is that Bush?!? What is he doing there?"

He was not talking about the content of Clark's statements, merely the sound of his voice. Others have made similar observations. Is this important? Does it matter? Who knows. He wouldn't lose my vote over it. (Of course, he has to earn my vote first.) I do think it would be problematic in a Bush* vs. Clark debate.

86. No. I don't see Shrub's Simian features with Clark
Nor do I sense arrogance from Clark that turns me off from Shrub 43. Shrub 43 can barely articluate a sentence where Clark can expand in many directions. Arrogance was what I hated about Shrub in 2000 and i don't see it yet in Clark
