Bush doesn't DARE ask for Rove's resignation.
Has it occurred to anybody but me that Rove could bring down Bush and Bush knows it?

2. Rove is Bush's brain. Firing Rove would be like Bush removing his brain
It would be political suicide for Bush to ask Rove to resign, not because of the secrets Rove has but because Bush would not know what to do or how to react to criticism.

and didn't really have anything on him. He'd got ALL the dirt on bush and man is it bad stuff! bush would be done, impeached in disgrace, not even Rush and the gang could stand up for him - oh that bunch would be ruined too btw.

editted because I accidentaly capitalized "bush" against my long-standing policy

6. IMHO Rove will never bring down Bush....
Rove may resign in disgrace or be indicted. Karl makes his living off playing the part of a RW genius who can win elections. The day he starts stabbing pols in the back is the day he loses his magic. If his magic's gone so is his gravy train.

7. I think there's one reason why Bush hasn't asked for Rove's resignation:
They are arrogant.

It's also the reason why they won't give up on Bolton's UN nomination. I'm sure there are countless anxious stooges who have not gone on record as hating the UN as Bolton has, and they'd fill the spot with just as much rancor and zeal. But the Bush Administration already said "Bolton", and so it must be Bolton. There can be no admission of error; no concessions. They view it as weakness- and so do their supporters, the ranks of former gradeschool bullies.

8. I think they know that
I think they know that, but if they do resign him then it'll show that Rove is truly guilty.

9. You guys are right...the asslickers that prop up *.......
can't afford to take the chance that Rove can tell all he knows.

Rove knows where all the bodies are buried. Rove knows all the secrets that Alfred E. Neuman wants to keep.

Rove better not take any trips on any small planes!

14. Sure he can. He'll just make sure Rove gets a huge reward,...
,...after his resignation: maybe, move to the Carribean and work as a highly paid consultant for the Carlyle Group.
