"IS"
"It depends on the meaning of 'is'."

And with those words, William Jefferson Clinton was hounded by a vast right wing conspiracy straight to only the second impeachment in the history of our nation.

That line has entered the lexicon in much the same way as '-gate'.

And I, for one, am hoping it stays that way.

IS

The word is but two letters.

One syllable.

'Knowingly"

Nine letters and three syllables.

But oh so powerful.

Like 'crook' and 'is', 'knowingly' is about to enter the national lexicon.

Roll it around on your tongue. Say it. Caress it.

Knowingly

What a wonderful word.

2. I'm getting a kick out of RW Spin today
- Referring to someone as "Wilson's wife" does not "Identify" her.
- Everybody knew Plame was CIA - BUT - Rove did not

3. But the question remains ...
If Rove didn't know she was an undercover CIA operative, why would he have been talking about her in the first place? If his intention was to get Joe Wilson, but he had no idea that Wilson's wife was a CIA agent, why the hell would he even mention her? What would be the purpose of it? :eyes:

7. I am sure Fitzgerald is asking
a lot of the questions we are. They know the difference and the right can repeat all they want and hope it will become their truth, however the Grand Jury don't play that and the truth is coming out. They should get ready for it....

5. Actually, I think "name" is a principle analogy here.
He didn't leak her "name". But he leaked "Joe Wilson's wife." Is his defense going to be that he didn't say Valerie Wilson, or Valerie Plame? That's pathetic.

8. I thought the statute or law is about blowing one's cover, not about
ever speaking their name. What the hell does it matter if he said "Valerie Plame, Secret Agent is Valerie Wilson, wife to Joe" or not, the fact is HE OUTED HER and ruined her cover AND her operation AND exposed her undercover "Business" and left agents in the field hanging to dry.

11. That Ugly, Potato-Shaped, Rat-Fucking, Political Advisor that Got
beaten up by girls for being a Nixon-loving Propoganda-Bastard had lots and lots of "bottom" sex with a certain male prostitute who was in the press corps... the smell of cheap cologne and the squishing sound of santorum were the only things that separated their intertwined bodies.

But I'm not naming any names, mind you.

6. The verb "to be" often forms the basis of weak arguments
Saying something "is" so or not so or this or that or whatever often serves as a substitute for saying something meaningful. At worst this usage of "isness" constitutes an empty appeal to authority.
