Whatever happened to the rest of those Abu Ghraib photos?
Weren't they supposed to be turned over to the ACLU
well over a week ago?

Did I sleep through it?

Any info/updates would be appreciated!

Thanks in advance.

At the end of June. Still waiting.
Guess it takes a while to photoshop out faces.

1. I asked the same last week.. Apparently they have until the 20th of July
to censor and release them. No idea why.

4. Woe to our troops when/if they are released
Although I think the documentation NEEDS
to be released to the public, taxpayers NEED
to fully comprehend what their tax dollars are buying,
I shudder to think of the blowback it will create
for the troops.
Maybe THEN the people in this country will wake up?
The consequences of the release are not going to
be good for the troops, but maybe people will FINALLY
grasp the horror of the Bush Regime and the fact that
their tax money is being used to torture people.

6. Weren't they going to be released to the ACLU?
Isn't that who brought the suit?

Maybe you could call them and ask them, they might know.

7. Yes...
I don't know if they were supposed to be released for public viewing but rather to the ACLU for them to review. Or so my understanding was.
