"Revoke Rove's Security Clearance NOW!" Let's Hear It In Unison, DU'ers |
|
Edited on Mon Jul-11-05 05:16 PM by cryingshame
simple, catchy, appropriate, actionable.
Rove endangers our National Security.
Rawstory has it on their front page... and IMO, it's magical.
Great mantra for LTTE etc etc.
WHOPEE!

1. Write your congressman (excellent post!!!!) |
|
Dear Congressman Moran:
Thank you for staying loyal to our party and its ideals in this difficult time.
I heard a great suggestion today: revoke Karl Rove's security clearance. Simple, direct, and necessary as evidenced by the betrayal of a secret agent's identity revealed over the past few weeks.
Why should this man have any right to know state secrets? He's demonstrated no ability to function professionally with this privilege.
Thanks for your good work.

2. Why do you suppose Rove was officially brought into the Bush Government? |
|
In Feb. 2005 he went from private paid political consultant to Bush to Deputy Chief of the White House Staff. Perhaps Bush will try to invoke Executive Privilege over all of Rove's documents, including those from before he acquired a formal title in the Bush Administration?

6. They may argue that Rove was a "de facto" part of the government |
|
and was engaged in governmental functions on behalf of the executive branch, and that Bush just made it official.

5. What is his security clearance? |
|
As I understand it being an advisor he has none. If advisors have security clearance in Washington we have some serious issues.

9. When did he obtain a security clearance? |
|
Was it BEFORE he became Deputy Chief Of Staff at the White House in 2005? Did he have a security clearance when he outed Valerie Plame? If so, did he also have access to classified documents such as the identities of CIA covert agents?
