http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/programmes/panorama/3686201.stm

Panorama: London under attack was broadcast on BBC One on Sunday, 16 May 2004 at 22:15 BST

This film is a mock exercise of what might happen in London if there was a terror attack now.

In a unique fusion of drama, detailed research and expert discussion Panorama puts Britain's emergency plans to the test.

Set in the future - but only just - the city of London is thrown into chaos by a series of terrorist attacks.

From the transcript of this BBC One program:

TUBE EXPLOSIONS

3 blasts on London Underground

"The headlines at 9 o'clock. In the past hour there have been three major explosions on the London underground... Emergency services have been called to all three scenes. There are no reports available yet on the number of casualties, and the police have said that it's too early to identify a possible cause. London underground is now closed and the police are asking people not to travel."

DAVID GILBERTSON
Former Commander Metropolitan Police ... "Well it's abundantly clear what we've got here is a major terrorist incident, a major terrorist outrage and we've got to get going." ...

ANNE GALLOP
Deputy Chair London Fire & Emergency Planning Authority .. "We would need to get a large number of fire-fighters into the sites, luckily for this event it's happened at half past eight in the morning.."

CRISPIN BLACK
Former Intelligence Officer
"What we're seeing ... here today, isn't particularly complex or sophisticated. These are three bombs on the tube, we're not quite sure what kind of bombs but just three and a line in the city we're still not sure what's coming out of that."
