3. it was on bbc tv news 24 as a breaking news flash |
|
and i just watched it is the only source i have at the moment. The bbc said they had breaking news that the united states had banned its soldiers from traveling to london and was advising other US citizens not to travel there. The bbc specifically said they had called a Royal Airforce spokesman who confirmed the story. The bbc has a rule about 2 sources for a news story

4. Maybe Britain decided they didn't want a sex industry to grow under |
|
the economic pressure of U.S. servicemen - as it did in Thailand during Vietnam or the Philippines & Germany.
On a more serious note: U.S. service men make for huge influxes of money for small business nearby the 'barracks' in other ways. They must really have a good reason to be afraid to take this step.
Unless this is a dupe?

5. I think the OP said that the soldiers weren't allowed in London |
|
by the US because of "our" fear of terrorism. At least that's how I read it.
