We should not just work to get Congress back |
|
We also need to make sure it can never go back to the RW.
We need to remove the power of the Far Right by driving a wedge into the GOP.

1. How about an oaken stake! |

It would be nice to get the moderates to disown these people and their insanity.

3. There are no moderates in the Republican party. |

Just conservatives, ultraconservatives, and those who are totally bonkers. I'm not exactly keen on the idea of trying to woo those who are merely conservative, because stretching the Big Tent of the party any further to the right sells out too many of our principles. Compromise may be a critical part of the political process, but you gotta draw the line somewhere.

2. I've already said it... |

...we could ally with the Libertarian right and some of the REAL conservatives fairly easily, at least so far as to take down the Neo-Con power structure. Right now the non Neo-Cons are keeping a low profile, but stepping up enough to mangle some of this Administration's plans by voting against the White House when it comes down to the wire.
It's all about changing the dialogue.
