Hardball allowed blatant lies, on the air, just now... huh?
One thing to make a mistake, but holy shit batman, since when is Karl Rove saying anything considered sacrosanct? Just because Rove said in the email to Cooper that "plame approved the trip" does not mean that reality has shifted to support that claim.

Orin (the other hooker in the room) stated as though it were fact that Plame sent Wilson to Niger, Mathews nodded in agreement and said "right". The way Orin presented it even, "Joseph Wilson lied" type crap is outrageous, but Mathews letting that drivel wash? Oh wow... I think MSNBC needs a good email bitch slapping and a a hearty "screw you" from DU. After all, it is one thing to make a mistake, it is another to blatantly lie...and you know what, I think we have had enough lying over the past 5 years.

So, Ms. Orin needs to be looked at for her "on all fours" defense of Mr. Rove. I smell whorish perfume, beyond measure.

And Chris Mathews needs to be replaced with a real journalist, like David Gregory. Enough with Mathews unless he issues a formal apology, correction, and a begging session of his own.

They are essentially spinning this to be Wilson's fault. Amazing.

1. Are you surprised?
This has always been their line of attack in the case. Keep in mind Orin works for the N.Y. Post.

2. That Orin is one of the more odious media whores
Just the sight of her and the sound of her snarky pseudo-intellectual tone is enough to cause waves of hysteria mixed with nausea.

6. She is particularly nasty and Tweety has her on all the time.
It must be that prestigious NY Post glow that he likes.

3. Unabashedly at that
They are making smoke and even worse they are getting away with it, as usual. I am afraid they're going to get Rove off scott free.

btw, I enjoyed your blogging at brad's.

15. Oh thanks...really!!!
But back to the topic at hand. Orin is not just a shill, she is a shill with an agenda. I think we need to take a glimpse into Orin to find out what that agenda is being funded by.

I realize we all have an agenda to some degree, but to blatantly lie on public television crosses the line beyond all ethics. As for Mathews, while he is generally annoying to me because of his inability to remove the Vatican chip out of his arse, he went too far here by stating lies, several of them, and despite the fact that Wilson was not the topic nor is he the probe of any investigation. In other words, smearing. Let MSNBC know how you feel kids, because we need to stop the non-stop perversion of our public dialog as well as the manipulation of the reality in which we live. If not now, then when?

5. I saw Orin's shameful performance and thought to myself
it's a good thing I'm not in the same room as she is -- I doubt I'd be able to restrain myself. What a horrific, unapologetic liar.

And yeah, Matthews just let it happen. Shame on him. To his credit, poor little what's-his-name tried to set the discussion back on track, saying, "But Wilson isn't the subject here." Too bad even he couldn't come up with any FACTS to counter Orin's dreadful lies about Wilson.

during the Monica Lewinsky scandal. He was so outraged back then.

I wonder how many "truths" the whores have been telling us over the past 5 years are actually double super secret Rove lies?

10. What do you expect from Tweety. He sucks.
Who do we complain to?

The Post witch is perpetuating the Rove myth that Plame sent Wilson to Niger. (In fact she recommended him but had no authority to send him. Others did that. Tenet has said this.

<http://www.globalsecurity.org/intell/library/news/2003/intell-030711-cia01.htm>

She also claimed that Wilson "lied" about the forged Niger purchase document because he never even saw them.

(The documents are now universally conceded to be forged -- a child with access to Google could have figured out that they were signed by a Nigerien official who occupied no office when the "official" documents were signed. Wilson never saw the documents. He was told about their existence but never saw them before his trip. So what's Orin's point?)

I think this is what we're going to see from Tweety and the Repukes for a while until somebody responsible in the press cleans this up.

17. Well, let's start taking notes...
Anyone who continues to lie in the face of fact, especially given their job requirement of presenting fact, is a payola asset or an asset of some sort or just an ass. Whatever it is, they are very visible. I want David Gregory to head that show, Mathews can go sit with Scottie and play Gannon around the poesy.

14. Anyone who think the NBCs are turning to the center is crazy. In one
little minute of conversation they are smearing the Wilson's again.

Who approved the advance given to him? Plame. Very doubtful.
Somebody must have had to authorize the trip with a signature, title, and a date.

Do you think they want us to think that Plame can authorize a trip like that? They believe we are STUPID!

I despise their lies and their partnership with the white house.

I can no longer capitalize white house or christian when it refers to people who give it and believe it.

We live in a place worse than the USSR because it is tragically sinister to take well intentioned and faithful citizens and screw them the way NBC does with their propaganda.

18. Tweety acknowledged it as fact twice in the same sentence.
It has only been floated on the right that Valerie suggested that Wilson go to Niger. There is no truth to it, yet they continie to promote it. Liars, liars, liars. They can repeat it as often as they like but this time I don't think thay can make it stick.

22. I'm creating a DVD for the Conyers's DSM house parties
the events going to be July 25th all over the country.

TO me these events are ALL intertwined, and I'm going to weave the whole tale together ala Micheal Moore style..

The Rove debacle only makes the DSM MORE Credible, and these idiots can lie their asses off (I watched Tweety today) - the woman from the Post needs to be stripped and dropped off in the middle of the street in fallujah for some IN DEPTH coverage of the FREEDOM they all enjoy over there now..

Anything you want to send my way, please post - I'll take it all, whatever you got, and I would like to congratulate Raw Story of their timeline and hope that they've sent it over to Conyers, as he is asking for a timeline right now..

we'll out these bastards, the Truth cannot be hidden.

24. I had the same reaction
While watching the "news" about all of this, they all kept repeating the lies. It's not only disgusting, it's despicable! Anyone also notice how they tried to make Hillary's statements the big news drowning out the WH's growing scandal? Hah!!!

Oh, and I was also reminded several times how it is un-American to criticise Bush because "we are in a war". Puhleeze!!!
