Kidding, wouldn't want to gamble or get the DU in trouble, but I'm thinking that Scotty's days are numbered..

THere was FEAR on his face today. Dumb, blind FEAR.

And that's Bush's job, they don't like to see anyone else doing that..

Time to spend some time with the old family.. especially after one reporter suggested that Scotty should maybe get himself an attorney or two :)

I bet they are wishing they had Ari back, now THERE was a LIAR!

Scotty plainly doesn't carry a big enough shovel for all the bullshit loading up at the moment, so I'm betting within two weeks he's OUTTA THERE..

any takers?

2. Great idea for a reality show "The Nice White House Bullshit
Artist" losers get to say they nailed Paula Abdul. Which is really a trick, because the one who says it most convincingly gets the job.

7. Mushmouth Scotty ...
Edited on Mon Jul-11-05 10:40 PM by RoyGBiv
I read an article a year or so ago about McClellan in which the author claimed that Scotty's real problem was that he is not a natural born liar. Ari on the other hand could lie three times in a minute, each lie contradicting the one previous, and not even flinch. Scotty is not, in other words, a good PR man, not "spokesman" material. Don't be mistaken. This does not make him a good person, just bad at his job.

If that is true, we're seeing the fruits of this "flaw" in his skills right now. He is visibly uncomfortable when he's lying or obfuscating. If he were a poker player, his give would be simple to spot. With this, he has a job to do, and with this administration, the primary purpose of this job is to lie. He can't do it.

So, to sorta answer your question, as more and more scandals begin to bring heat even from the sheep mentality of the Press Corps, he will peform worse and worse. The number of days left to him will be dicated to by how well the rest of the MSM is able to cover and or ignore the scandals.

19. My guess is the pressure becomes too much and he kills himself
Or else he goes so nuts the secret service has to take him down.

I wouldn't wish that upon him, but it's begining to look more and more likely.

22. yeah...lots of us thought at the time that Ari knew what would eventually
be coming down the pike. He was too smart and cared about his own butt to much to go down with the rest of them. Although what's been coming down the pike has taken longer than anyone probably even Ari, thought.

21. I watched the conference twice on C-Span Repat. Scotty was shaken
and for that Robot to show any emotion has got to mean the WH is in deep conflict. He almost looked like he was going to cry at one point. That's why I rewatched it. I thought I was not seeing what I was seeing the first time.

The Whore Press was crawling all over him...and that speech he gave about terrorists attacking "civilized nations" and the rest of his deep Right Wing Mantra was "UNHINGED!"

I don't think he will last if they keep going at him like this. He's caught in his own lies and maybe for the first time he knew what it feels like to have the tables turned and to know fear the way the rest of us have felt with the unreality of no break from the BFEE's irritational dogmatic ideas and policies.

I vote Scotty takes a vacation...but who the hell will fill in for the guy. Sheesh. They can't fire him, though. :-(

28. Shockingly, I saw what looked like his almost PC meltdown on Fox, of all
stations. Of course, it was a news update, but that was the only thing talked about on the update. I was so surprised that they devoted any time to this blight on W's inner circle. Scott looked like a trapped deer in the headlights.

37. I would have loved to be a fly on the wall after Little Snottie walked
out of that press briefing yesterday. Bets he had the hissy fit of the century. He's so used to Rove threatening reporters to keep them from asking him any follow ups, this is the first time he's had to face them without Uncle KKKarl to protect him.

He is no longer Puffy McMoonface (according to Stephanie Miller) but now has been renamed Chummy McSharkbait.

32. I'm going against conventional wisdom
He may want nothing more than to quit and go home, lick wounds, that sort of thing. But the Bush White House won't let him resign. It would look too bad. It would look like they have something to hide, which of couse everyone knows, they do.

He's probably heard 2 hours of the "buck up, be a man, and get back out there" speech, maybe from Rove himself.

Here's an interesting counter-question: do you suppose the Cheney-Rumsfeld axis would like to go ahead and jettison Rove? I've always thought that they had one of the idiot's ears and Rove had the other one. I guess Karen Hughes had his...well, I'm out of ears, so nevermind. But we may see her back at the WH soon.

the fall. But some were complaining she should be in her position now.. What if she knows that Rove is going down, and she's held off until he's out of the picture so she can take his job and hold the Chimp's hand through it all. hmmmmm.......... That might work. Bush will need alot of comfort if Rove goes...or maybe he's so full of himself now that he thinks he can ditch Rove because "The People" will love him more with his "Brain Gone." The true compassionate conservative can thrive under Karen Hughes... .An Awful Thought!
