LOL!!! ROVES LAWYERS BIG MOUTH FUCKS HIM BUT GOOD!!!
Edited on Mon Jul-11-05 09:42 PM by Beetwasher
Around 7:30 on Wednesday morning, Mr. Cooper had said goodbye to his son, resigned to his fate. His lawyer, Mr. Sauber, called to alert him to a statement from Mr. Luskin in The Wall Street Journal.

"If Matt Cooper is going to jail to protect a source," Mr. Luskin told The Journal, "it's not Karl he's protecting."

That provided an opening, Mr. Cooper said. "I was not looking for a waiver," he said, "but on Wednesday morning my lawyer called and said, 'Look at The Wall Street Journal. I think we should take a shot.' And I said, 'Yes, it's an invitation.' "

1. If Cooper checked with Rove to verify the sincerity of the written waiver,
(back when the FBI and the WH coordinated those) the way he called Libby before *that* grand jury appearance, Rove *must* have said 'NO! I'm a super secret snitch!'

For Cooper to have seen Luskin USING him to make karl look good- man, that must have capped it!

3. Rove's Lawyer Told The WSJ
that Cooper was not going to jail to protect ROve.

When Cooper's lawyer read that quote in the WSJ, he went to Cooper and said they should ask Rove if he was okay with Cooper testifying about their conversation.

21. Rove's lawyer says, "Cooper doesn't have to go to jail to protect Rove".
Says it to a newspaper. A newspaper with a worldwide average daily circulation of more than 2.6 million as of 2005 (per wikipedia).

I don't think it's Cooper's lawyer that needs to be worrying right now.

5. The way I'm reading it, when Rove's lawyer went to the WSJ and
said if Cooper was going to jail it wasn't to protect Rove,
it could be construed as a release from a promise of confidentiality.

Ooops. Big, big "ooops".

6. Coopers Lawyer Took The Statement in the WSJ as a Release
from his confidentiality agreement. He didnt actually speak to Rove. Rove never really gave him permission to testify, but he did anyway because of this public statement by Roves lawyer. IOW, Ha Ha!

12. Robert D. Luskin
One of Rove's lawyers once represented a husband and wife accused of laundering Colombian drug cartel money. It seems the man was ordered to forfeit $137 million in drug money by the feds. Luskin claims that he never knew the man was involved in illegal drug activities even though he was paid his $500,000 fee in gold bars, Luskin insisted that he "never have, and never would, knowingly accept a fee that was the proceeds of illegal activities." This is the man Rove hired to defend him?

25. Why does that word "knowingly" keep popping up?
Officer: OK fob I'm gonna give you a ticket for speeding.
fob: Excuse me Officer but I wouldn't knowingly speed so you CAN'T give me a ticket. Good day!

Edited on Mon Jul-11-05 10:02 PM by in_cog_ni_to
He saw that and threw it back at KKKRove by testifying???? OMG. No WONDER he was so damn nervous at that press conference. Or DID he talk to him prior to seeing the judge?

8. If You Were Rove, Would You Release Cooper?
I knew something wasnt right about that. Seems Cooper doesnt care for Rove much@and didnt want to go to jail, so he did some creative interpretation of a public statement by Roves lawyer. Ha Ha!!! Rove is fucked bȂ good methinks.

13. Well, NO, I wouldn't have released him and that's why I posted
Edited on Mon Jul-11-05 10:18 PM by in_cog_ni_to
that the source couldn't have POSSIBLY been KKKRove. I KNEW he had no integrity and would Never, in a million years release Cooper to talk. Oh MAN!!!! This is even BETTER! Remember the press conference right after Cooper said he would testify? The man looked VERY, VERY nervous and on the verge of tears! This is why! Holy shit. This is almost too good to be true.

15. Question.
Edited on Mon Jul-11-05 10:31 PM by RUMMYisFROSTED
Was the WSJ article published the morning of Cooper's statement?

Edit: or within a "short time" of this statement:

"A short time ago, in somewhat dramatic fashion, I received an express, personal release from my source," Matt Cooper of Time magazine told a federal judge yesterday, in dramatic fashion, just before being sentenced to jail. "It's with a bit of surprise and no small amount of relief that I will comply with this subpoena."
