As much as I dislike Lieberman, I thoroughly enjoyed his remark
that the "middle class is being plucked." After which he said "I want to make it clear that I said plucked."

Doesn't mean I want to vote for him tho.

3. He actually worked the room like a Catskills pro; good schtick!
Usually he delivers his bon-mots in a way that has them fall flat, then compounds the disaster by laughing half-heartedly at his own joke. This time he said that "the foxes were guarding the foxes, and the middle class hens were being plucked", then followed up perfectly. What a shriek; best laugh of the night, by far.

...and it's not like I ever have much of anything good to say about him either...

5. I think he senses that he has nothing to lose now.
He talked about being booed all the time and all. He's cutting loose. He screwed up bad though when he said forcefully that he would continue the war on terrorism whatever that means.
