Does anyone know the identity of the new Jeff Gannon in the WH press corps
Someone asked McClellan this question today.

Q One follow-up. Considering the widespread interest and the absolutely frantic Democrat reaction to Karl Rove's excellent speech to conservatives last month, does the President hope that Karl will give a lot more speeches?

Does anyone know who asked this, and who they work for? I think we may have another Gannon/Guckert on our hands here.

1. I took it as an irony question.
Sort of rubbing in the fact that the rest of the questions were about Rove, and Scotty wouldn't answer them. Perhaps irony was just in my mind.

3. That was some old guy out of Baltimore...
And by old, I mean at least late 50's. I Didn't catch the organization - but it sounded conservative.

10. I was being charitable....
but didn't do a good job. He looked 60 or 70... didn't really fit in with the WHPC image, and certainly wasn't another "Gannon".

12. googled Baltimore call letters, and found WCBM
http://wcbm.com/

Les Kinsolving is listed as an WCBM "personality" along with
G. Gordon Liddy and Sean Hannity

"being Baltimore radio's only White House correspondent"

7. Les Kinsolving.
I believe he's been around the WH for quite a while. Not quite Gannon-calibre, I don't think.

8. Lester Kinsolving on Clinton for SC
He's World Daily Net White house correspondent..

:puke:

Jim Jones didnt like him, I think he had a relative at jonestown.
http://jonestown.sdsu.edu/AboutJonestown/Tapes/Tapes/TapeSummaries/805a.htm

Jones has a particular candidate for the villain in the piece, though. Lester Kinsolving, a columnist for the San Francisco Examiner whose relationship with Jones is mutually antagonistic, has been behind some of the wiretaps against the church, according to Jones (and, by extension, against some of the other causes in town who suspect that they are bugged). Jones said he even had proof of the taps, which had been provided by a telephone operator, but he was reluctant to press forward with charges because he was afraid of recriminations against the woman. Jones also accuses Kinsolving of bribery, and reminds the man he’s speaking to that the columnist was dropped by the Washington press corps for his actions, and “maybe … that old columnist is back at us again.”

Kinsolving and Jones seem to be at an impasse – a possible motive for this latest harassment – over what the columnist knows about the church. “So the sucker knows some things about us…” Jones says, “ut we had not heard him since we sued him.” Instead of Kinsolving coming forward with what he knows and thereby risk legal reprisals, Jones speculates, “he has just chosen to make all these weird weird allegations against us.”

11. He's trying to get Scotty to say Bush supports Rove
I thought it was a great question asked in a sarcastic way. The WH press corps needs to keep looking for creative ways around Scotty's new "Ongoing investigation" firewall.
