Bush Should Keep His Word & Fire Rove!
Congresswoman Louise Slaughter posted this on her blog (www.votelouise.com/blog) calling on President Bush to keep his word and fire Karl Rove. Kick this if you can. I think we all need to help build a CRITICAL MASS on this issue.

I'm sure you've heard the news.

President Bush's most trusted advisor, Karl Rove, has been named as the mysterious leak within the White House that identified former Ambassador Joe Wilson's wife, Valerie Plame, as an undercover agent in the CIA.

The news has sent shockwaves throughout Washington and America... and with good reason.

During a White House Press Briefing on September 30, 2003 President Bush said the following in response to a question regarding the leaking of Valerie Plame's identity, "...if there is a leak out of my administration, I want to know who it is. And if the person has violated law, the person will be taken care of." When asked at a post G-8 Summit News Conference on June 10, 2004 if he stood by his statement that he would fire whoever was responsible for the leak, Bush said, "Yes. And that's up to the U.S. attorney to find the facts."

It is time for President Bush to keep his word.

Karl Rove should be fired and prosecuted to the full extent of the law. There can be no gray area here. Regardless of how he phrased it, regardless of how much detail he provided; he revealed the identity of an undercover CIA agent in a cold, calculated attempt to silence Ambassador Wilson from speaking out against the war in Iraq.

Please use the link below to join me in calling on the President to keep his word. What Rove did is reprehensible. Putting the life of an undercover CIA agent in jeopardy cannot be tolerated. He clearly deserves his pink slip.

Together we can hold the President accountable and bring Karl Rove to justice.

2. Firing Rove will not demise his influence in the White House
Rove will get an office someplace in DC, directing traffic as he always does.

5. Bush doesn't have a "word" to keep. The sounds that come from
his mouth aren't words, they are products.
