Well, I was amazed that David Gregory barbecued McClellan's ass... |
|
at the press conference yesterday.
Gregory's wife is somehow tied to the Bush administration, if I remember correctly.
Wow. What a 180 degree change in temperment toward this administration. I had not ever expected Gregory to be one of the journalists to hold Bush's feet to the fire.
Wow.

1. Thanks for the thread! Just read the notes concerning the briefing... |
|
Scott probably wished he was anywhere, but in that room.
Perhaps another indication of the tide turning.

best at grilling Snott. Moran has a legal background. A lot of times it shows. He knows his stuff.

"You know me, Terry." In other words, trust me, I'm your friend.
That was pathetic of Scott.

5. Hallmark of this administration |
|
counting on their friends. They've stacked the media and bureaus with cronies, and can't handle dissent or criticism when confronted with it.

....I tend to think we here at DU get our hopes up too much on things.....such as the DSM, the Abu Ghraib revelations, etc.....
Last night watching the MSM on the nighlty news casts asking if Bush should fire Rove gave me hope for the first time in a long time. The network anchors all were asking the question of whether Bush was going to fire Rove for leaking Plame's name and revealing national secrets. I wonder how many in America who seem to never pay attention actually heard those remarks for the first time last night and went huh?

I've been getting quizzed by friends about this - briefly tell me the story, tell me if they will fire Rove - it's because in August 2003 I announced in a bar after a show "mark my words" - lol! - I told my friends about Plame and said this would bring Bush down. At the time I thought it was going to happen right away!

might not even realize what a big deal it would be for Karl Rove to go. It's just another name they hear. "Sounds like one of those people our fine Christian president has working for him did something bad. Why on earth hasn't he fired him yet?"

Gregory really called Scotty out. There were still the few in the clan who attempted to shift the questions. The guy asking the Clinton for Supreme Court question had to be one of the biggest fools in the press pool- ever. Scotty must have talked around his question for 10 minutes of nothingness. The other questions on Korea and terrorists also gave Scotty a little break. I hope the grilling continues, these boys need to answer many questions. :dem:

.... you are going to see a more aggressive press. Why? Because they are PISSED that Judith is in jail.
Not that I have even a scintilla of an iota of sympathy for Judith's position, but I'll be happy if it helps wake up the press corp as to the real nature of this administration.
See, even if you go along, you are eventually fucked.
