4. I'm waiting for the anger bounce to begin.

It's not really a backlash, but a bounce. You see, you have members of the public who have allowed themselves to be misled by allowing more passionate spirits to dominate. They have consciously or unconsciously allowed right-wingers to make all the major decisions in this country because they either didn't have the time nor the interest to get involved. Now, they will feel betrayed. Very betrayed. So expect a bounce, like the kind you see on a bungee cord jump. It won't be a backlash because I don't expect people who have stayed out of this fight to even know where they should direct their anger, but I do expect there to be some kind of reaction.
