Republican said "its perfect timing to 'out' Rove ... |
|
Edited on Tue Jul-12-05 08:40 AM by southernleftylady
"its perfect timing because now the republicans will give the Dem's. roves head on a platter and so the Dem's will give the rep. their Supreme court judges... so in 20 years they will still have to court and no one will remember who rove was"
what do you think about this comment..
(the republican that said this was just a friend of mine.. no big wig)

Hard to see this information on Rove strengthening the White House on the court-related issues.

8. What kind of logic is that? |

Dems are going to give them something to get Rove's head, which at this point, we might be able to get with or without their cooperation?

9. I think that Republican is in denial. |

It's not the Dems in Congress who will want Rove's head on a platter, atleast certainly not as a bargaining chip. This IS worse than Watergate. Expect the push to come from all those Republican voters who feel betrayed by their own party. They'll either step aside and allow the Dems to win the next local and state elections or they'll bring their own party down with constant sniping and bickering.
So, I don't see Rove as a chip to be used in the Supreme Court picks. If anything, Rove's behind the scenes machinations take away the Republican's complaint of Democrat's Borkish behavior. At least what Dems do that affects public policy is done in the open.

what is happening is an all-around feeling being festered in people of the corruption and dishonesty of the entire administration first and thanks to the other truths (scandals) the Republicans second.
This is undermining their ability to do anything because the entire party particularly the administration look like mafia crooks, the perception is seeping in.... do not worry about it being a distraction at this point, because it is not the only TURD BLOSSOM BLOOMING.
So this is what a TURD BLOSSOM looks like when it blooms.

First I find it interesting that a lot of folks suspect that if the Corporate Media is attacking Rove, *somebody* wants Rove attacked. I lean that way myself.
Second, my greatest fear right now is that BushCo wants to attack Iran. But the question remains: Even with a huge terror attack to set it up, would the majority of Americans rally-round-the-flag with this crew in charge? And if not, how much of a purge is necessary to change the face of the administration?

"If she weighs the same as a duck, then she's made of wood." "And therefore?" "A WITCH!! Burn her!!"
Difficult to discuss politics with an individual who lacks even a most basic sense of logic. Perhaps you could steer the conversation to other subjects, i.e. the color of the sky?

an opinion, in MY humble opinion. Everyone has one, and they're entitled to it. Whether we listen is a different story.

And we ain't putting some knuckledragging Scalia clone on the bench. Smirk is going to be weakened on this, and he's going to be forced to nominate a mainstream conservative, not a neocon fascist.
I may not like Alberto, but I can stomach him. Some of those others are entirely insane.
