Poll question: Afternoon Air America: Ed Schultz, Randi Rhodes, or a Mix?

XM has a half Ed, half Randi in the afternoon. Many local markets have Ed instead of Randi. Some AM markets have Randi over Ed. I think some local stations have the Ed-Randi mix like XM does. Sirius had Randi, but no more AAR on Sirius.

So what is your preference?

P.S. I know Ed is with the Jones Radio network. So don't bother pointing that out. :)

The station that carries AAR in my area has Ed on in the late afternoon, and Randi on in the early evening.

Not to mention you can listen to Randi (and many other progressive radio shows) from the archives of the White Rose Society http://www.whiterosesociety.org/

I was going to post that it is on in the evenings, but that is coming from the AAR stream on the Net. I am rarely in the car at that time so, I really do not know if they play the TMR.

I will look at their (local station) website and see if it is mentioned.

UPDATE: They do not carry The Majority Report.

6. Ed is NOT Air America.

If XM contracted to carry Air America, why are they pre-empting AR programming to carry a Jone Radio Network show? Put Ed on another channel.

Who is doing the negotiting for AR? The fictional doormat Stuart Smalley? AR on XM should be ALL AR or none at all. It should be the AR channel with nothing but AR programming 24/7.

I'm glad I can stream and not pay for some XM programmer asshole to fuck up what I want to listen to.

Ed has the afternoon shift. I guess Ed's preferred here because he lives in North Dakota, and he sounds like us.

Is it too much to ask for 2 progressive radio stations? There are 3 wingnut stations here.
