Who would marry Rick Santorum
I've always been kind of curious about just what type of woman would be married to Little Ricky. So I was looking at Yahoo to find the boston.com editorial about him and there was a picture of the happy couple from yesterday. Not really what I expected. Is she pregnant again? Looks that way to me, maybe. She looks older than him. Anyway, hope nobody minds, but I thought I'd share...

Sen. Rick Santorum, R-Pa., left, walks with his wife, Karen, to a news conference in downtown Pittsburgh on Monday, July 11, 2005. A hearing officer has sided with U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum in a dispute over whether a Pennsylvania school district can get back tax money it paid for Santorum's children to attend an Internet-based charter school while living in Virginia. 1. The kind of woman who would marry Sphinctorum
would have to think it was a good idea to bring a dead fetus home to introduce to their kids as their baby brother.

'Nuff said, IMO.

:: shudder ::

4. Having lost two children already
to miscarriages (my wife's, to be completely accurate, but the pain is ours to share), I cannot bring myself to fault any person for how they choose to grieve over such a loss.

Especially since, with Santorum, there is so much good ammunition already without dredging his personal pain.

7. If...
he hadn't made a point of making the act public as an illustration of the personal beliefs he imposes as an elected representative of the state in which I reside, I wouldn't find it nearly as ghoulish. His personal pain, perhaps... but it's hard to feel bad for him when he uses it as political fuel.

2. He's the kind of person....
that was beaten relentlessly by the other kids during his childhood. She's the dutiful wife who gave up a career to bear as many children as Ricky wants, stays in the background and doesn't have much of an opinion on anything (that's men's work, after all!).
Another typically disgusting Stepford family in a typically disgusting political party---the Republicans.
That's just a wild guess, of course! ;)

5. American Taliban's dream
wholesome -- but not sexy (don't want to uh, incite, anything). Docile. Quiet. Polite. With just enough education to handle whatever Hubby needs her to -- but not enough to question his blatant ignorance.
I had a classmate who referred to another classmate as, "you know, that woman who always looks like she's nursing..." And, I have to admit, I knew exactly who he was talking about.
