With the silence at the WH over Rove- has the spinning stopped?
When they can't/won't answer questions

When Bush justs sits there

THIS COULD BE IT

The tipping point

There is no more spin for them

Now is the time for the Democrats to UNLOAD

Fire away, let loose about damn near everything because it really does all flow from here

The lying ,the manipulation, the killing of the messenger about every thing that has come out of this White House that doesn't serve their agenda i.e.Gen Shinseki,Paul O'neil,Richard Clarke,9 11 Commission,Joe Wilson,Dan Rather.....fill in your favorite

Has the spinning spun itself out?

2. I think they are waiting to see what Fitzgerald actually has
so they don't get caught in more lies. They are waiting for the full story, probably meanwhile hoping someone blows up something else so they can scare everyone again.

I keep wondering if there is a double agent leaking BushCo bad info about the investigation to catch him in a lie. Just a thought.

3. They already can't reconcile what they've said in the past. That's why
they're trying to just let their RNC thugs handle it from the political end using their Right Wingnut talking heads.

The way they operate, they'll have Valerie Plame linked to Saddam and 9-11 and Rove's a hero for taking her down.

5. is Rove pinned down to the extent he can't spin himself or anything else?
It feels like they're all treading water right now, hoping the waves stay manageable so they can ride it out.

7. After watching todays WH Press Briefing
Edited on Tue Jul-12-05 01:13 PM by nittygritty
I was amazed by the feeling that all of Scottie's slow stammering and attempts at misdirecting wasn't fooling the press.

As he started with the "fight em over there, etc, terrists hate freedom, whatever, etc..." he was like a fucking robot or broken record or both and I had the inate sense that everyone else in that room knew it too.

I think it IS spinning itself out. There's not much else to lie about. They've covered just about everything with their lies and now the gig is up. The lights are on and folks are coming to...

8. They are spinning it by proxy
CNN News-Reporters have discovered Talking Points on Rove matter issued by the White House.

Essentially the Talking Points issued by the White House to republican operatives and cooperative media personalities are the same that Rove's attorney Luskin has been issuing claiming there is no criminal activity, attacking Plame and Wilson, and stating Rove did not knowingly expose a CIA operative, and did not use her name.

In a press conference shown about 1 PM McClellan refused to answer questions about the Talking Points asked of him by Helen Thomas and other reporters.
