Who's the funniest candidate?
At the debate, it seems to have been Lieberman. According to this transcript he got five laughs, followed by Sharption with four, one each for Clark, Graham, Kerry and Kucinich, and none for Dean, Edwards, Gephardt and Moseley Braun.

On applause lines, Sharpton led with four, Dean in second with two, and all the others getting one.

1. Mosley Bruan - without a doubt
She tried to run for the senate from illinois, and democratic party denied her the funds to run. What do they offer her? Just funds for the presidential candicacy. Uh can anyone say - just go home - you're embarassing us? This was McAliffs way of respectfully letting Ms. Bruan go. Any time she shows up its pure hilarlity.

6. Beg to differ...
She offered extremely good responses. Perhaps with exposure she will gain support.

12. I disagree- no other candidate brought up womens issues...
...and that is what I love about our candidates- each one brings somthing viable to the debate...

I appreciated her humility and grace, not to mention her great responses...

27. I dont care how he looks
Its ISSUES not looks. Sorry I dont care what my candiate looks like. Would you have a problem with someone just because they look like Rick Lazio now if he had Lazio's issues I wouldnt support him no duh. I see a bit of resemblance, but :hi: Ive seen you say this for a while lol I want a new one, Ive seen leprecuan, gnome, frodo, etc. Dont worry aint mad at all, just saying theres a ton of descriptions for him. FDR didnt seem like the kind of guy who would be the best democratic president ever, even knowing his background. Looks dont matter one bit to me.

20. My God, people, did we watch the same debate?
I don't like Joe Lieberman. He's my least favorite candidate. That said, he made people LAUGH WAY more than anybody else today. Sure, Sharpton was quick. But Lieberman excelled-like him or not, if you want to be honest-he was funny.

It's impolite to grant Lieberman so much as a shred of humanity @ DU...spoken by a woman for Kucinich, no less!!!

25. I couldn't believe how funny Lieberman was yesterday
during the debates. "The foxes are guarding the fox house and the chickens are getting plucked' and just to be clear I did mean plucked!"

He seemed a little figety during the debates and then when asked his response, he said "what was the question?'. I thought he was hilarious and endeearing. I think he knows he is 'out' as far as the 2004 election and has lightened up quite a bit.

28. Sharpton is the funniest and most well spoken politician of all time
Hands down. If only he were a more serious candidate, I'd fright for him so hard. But the thing is he has such an unimpressive past (on paper) that he could never ever dream of winning. It's a shame and I really have to wrestle with my conscience on the issue.
