Who called whom? Cooper/Miller/Novak or Rove? |
|
I probably missed this. Did Rove call the reporters or did the reporters initiate the calls?
Rove seems more innocent (to some perhaps) if he was called ("Hey, Karl, why was Wilson sent to Niger?") as opposed to Rove calling them.
Anyone know? (I checked Cooper's email, it says "spoke with Rove". Didn't seem to be specific about who initiated the call.
Didn't Matthews say Rove called him to say Plame was fair game?

1. even if Cooper placed the call they could have been |

playing telephone tag (i.e., Rove's office left a message for Cooper asking him to call) for the purpose of setting up this "casual conversation".

did say that, and Andrea Mitchel said the same thing on Imus one morning. She got a call from Rove offering up the Plame story and she declined.
