Judith Miller may talk if she see's that he source is going down... |
|
Right now she has an out, which is revealing her source. If she starts to realize that Rove, Ari, others are going down, then she might reveal her source to prevent more jail time.
Let me put it another way.
If her source goes down then she as nothing to use to get her out of jail.
Her testimony could be enough to really hurt this administration.

she is scared to death - she thinks she is safe in prison - Fitzgerald might offer her immunity to talk...it will be interesting -she has been in bed with the dogs of war for a long time

3. I think her source is someone else, not Rove. |
|
If cooper's source was Rove, and he called Cooper to give him specific authorization to testify, and DIDN'T give the same to Judy, I don't think Judy would have gone to jail at all, let alone spend much time there. I mean, talk about a double standard, discrimination, or whatever you want to call it!
I think Judy's source is some one else who still thinks they are safe and out of the line of fire, at least for now.

9. Maybe it's the guy in the baseball cap? |
|
You know, the Iraqi that Judith "the queen of all fucking Iraq" Miller claimed she saw from a distance of many yards? The man, never identified, was wearing a baseball cap and walking back and forth, occasionally stopping and pointing at the ground. Miller breathlessly reported that the man was (her Iraqi escorts assured her) knowledgeable about Saddam Hussein's program for weapons of mass destruction, and he was showing her just where those weapons had been.
Whoops, just checked on the story, and it turns out that Judith was not permitted to talk directly to the man. Maybe Ari's a good guess after all.

called cooper and authorized him to testify. According to a report I saw on the MSM, Roves lawyer made a statement in the press and Coopers attorney took it as a release from Rove to testify. Rove never spoke to Cooper directly. I can imagine it was a mixed signal between the attorneys that began this whole thing :) How ironic.

10. I thought I remembered Cooper saying he received a call |

shortly after he said goodby to his son and was prepared to go to jail. He said his source gave him specific permission to testify.

5. This whole thing is the face of the war between the CIA and the Neocons. |
|
Miller is a Neocon through and through. She drank the Neocon Coolaid. She won't do anything to harm her bosses. Jail is probably a safer place for her right now then out on the street - she might accidentally commit suicide. The Neocons helped her career but they can't protect her from the spooks.

8. If you listen to the Bushies flunky's talk |
|
It is apparent that Rove is guilty as sin. They will wriggle and squirm as long as possible(like a worm on a fish hook)but will be consumed in the end. The media should play with them as long as possible(41 questions on Rove in 35 minutes at the White House briefings yesterday only alerts Bush that Rove is increasingly expendable) to make the Republicans look bad as possible in the next election.(16 months to off year elections!) 11. She has that syndrome that hostages get, where they identify with their... |

captors. Forgot the name of it. It's named after some scandinavian city I think. In any case, she's been a tool for so long that she may actually think it's noble to protect her handlers. It's a shame the media portrays her as some sort of martyr, instead of the symbol of the deep propaganda/lap dog media problem we have in this country.
