Why would Rove know anything about Wilson's personal life
unless he made a point to find out all he could about him. And why would he do this? So he could discredit him.

Just heard Ed Schultz make this excellent point. He also interviewed Waxman from the House floor. Waxman said these republicans in power place loyalty to party first, and duty to country and the constitution second. He made the point that Congress spent 10 days of hearings looking into Clinton's Christmas card list, one day on hearings about torture at Abu Ghraib and none looking into who outed a CIA agent. He said if this had been Clinton's aide who was accused of outing Plame, they would have held hearings immediately after the accusation was made public. Schultz asked Waxman if he had made that point to his republican counterparts in Congress. Waxman said yes, he has, but they are told by their party leaders not to cross DeLay.

1. Rove's Treason may have had deeper motives than merely smearing Wilson
Some people say that Valerie Plame was working on an internal investigation of the CIA, and was going to uncover and expose the "fixing of the Intelligence" that we read about in the DSM.

If that was the case, then the REAL reason she was outed by Rove was not MERE VENGEANCE against Wilson, but to prevent Bush's phony justification for taking us to war from being exposed. If Plame had not been exposed, there might be 2,000 more US soldiers alive today, and $200 Billion more dollars in our treasury, and we would not be trapped in an intractable quagmire.

Smearing Joe Wilson was just a bonus, and furnished a plausible "cover story" with a much more mundane, much less insidious and criminal motive.

12. Something that kind of leapt out when I was researching this issue...
...is that the CIA Cover company Plame worked for specialized in SAUDI WMD intelligence. Bush has DEEP ties with the Saudis. Could he have engineered this to keep the US from looking to closely at Saudi efforts to get the bomb?

2. Not to cross DeLay? GOOD!
That way we can take out the whole flock at once!

I'm actually glad they are sticking together. It's easier to prove conspiracy, colusion, joint obstruction....

post goes on to list the four reps and their phone numbers - please pitch in and pressure these people.

delay, novac, it just keeps piling higher, before the end we'll have everyone in this misadministration with their fingers in the pot and the evidence all over their hands.
We've been handed a gift, the death of the republican party.
