Bush and his gang have made the term AMERICAN a dirty word |
|
in the world at large. It wasn't long ago the world marveled at the economic and technical mastery of Americans.the world was also attracted to America for what it perceived as fair and equal treatment of all its citizens which allowed untold number of people from around the world to achieve their dreams in this land.It was not unusual to go to the remotest corners of the arth and meet people who will tell you tales about their brother, sisters, uncles, aunts who made it in America.
Now the term American has become a laughing stock in advanced countries and a term to be feared in poor Third World countries. No longer does one see the admiration that one used to see and the ready friendly laugh one used to get when one said he was an American.People simply want to avoid being seen with Americans everywhere.
It won't be long before those feelings of revulsion and distrust and fear translate into a self imposed boycott of American products.I am certain that prospect is keeping many marketing people at big corporations awake at night.

I figure we'll be seeing a lot more alternative-to-US-made products.
