What if Limbaugh tried to disrupt DU |
|
and no one noticed? That would be pretty pathetic.

1. How would you be able to tell between Limbaugh and other DUers? |
|
I hear many of the same Limbaugh talking points in the DEM bashing threads...

6. I have to disagree with you there. |

There's not enough information to determine where Clark stands, but he's been defended by Charlie Rangel and Michael Moore, as well as some lefties here at DU. I think it's best to keep an open mind about Clark.

7. no- I've seen ALL the viable candidates bashed... |
|
Not just "Clarkies" or "Deanies"...
One thing is for sure, if you want to see attacks on DEMS, you dont need to rely on Rush- DU now provides that forum.

That is absolutely an absolutely ridiculous, ad hominem attack! I DON'T support Clark, but to marginalize everyone who supports him as 'right wingers', etc., is just VILE!
SHAME ON YOU! :grr:

10. They are only "infiltrators" if they vote against DEMS... |
|
Edited on Thu Sep-25-03 11:56 PM by Dr Fate
...otherwise they are just engaging in behavior that weakens DEM strategy- that is, attacking fellow DEMS...
I would not characterize newbies who support a particular candidate as "infiltrators"- I would however emplore them to encourage DEM unity and tone down the candidate bashing...
We dont need to use Bush/media's talking points and research to build up our own personal candidates- they can do fine on their own, and they take enough crap from the RW media without having to have it here too...

9. I don't know that Mr. Christy |

could keep up with this crowd. He'd have to get a staffer to think and post for him. Maybe the one that scripts what comes out of his ass on the show, maybe the one that monitors this site for him. Who knows.

he makes a lot of money appealing to the lowest common denominator.
He is a hypocrite.
He spouts about morality ... but he has been married at least three times.
He spouts about serving the nation...but he has never served a day in his life because of his butt-zit.
He portrays himself as a common man... but he has a mansion in Palm Beach....

He'd get his lackey dittoheads to do it for him.
You know, the same way he accuses Clark of doing it.
Hypocrite.

18. Disrupters come, disrupters go.... |
|
And the chief useful idiot himself could never pass up the opportunity to be cute and throw in a substanceless zinger. One or two of those, and he would distinguish himself from all the other partisans here.
M'self, I would very much like to hear him whine and bitch and moan about being tombstoned on DU (after cutting off everyone on his show in these last many, many years who veered into the territory of sensible discourse).
Rush is a tool for the powerful. He's a small man doing a small job, and he can't figure that out, because he's paid well for doing it. He's mistaken notoriety for adulation, and bluster for power. His ego wouldn't allow him to mingle with us hapless misguided folks on the other side of the fence.
Don't worry. Dissent, even about one's own party's candidates, is healthy, as long as that dissent doesn't devolve into mindless sycophancy and baseless personal attacks.
The general advice would be to leave such tactics to Rush and his dittoheads. They're particularly good at it. When he's exhorted his followers to greater and greater heights of absurdity, and they vote for such, it won't matter if he's got money now... money won't mean anything in the world he's helping to create.
When he's trying to horn in on the goodies in the trash can you found, just remember--he _used_ to be a popular radio show host. You'll be free to rake his shins, step on his feet and put the toe of your shoe up his cyst-plagued asshole--because it's your trash can, not his.
That might even be good advice about how to treat him and his ilk today.
Cheers.

19. How could he disrupt DU any more than it's already disrupted? |
|
This place is one massive disruption. It's kind of fun and interesting, but never would I have dreamed that people on DU would use right-wing talking points to bring down a candidate.
Let's see -- anyone remember the Drudge headline "Hillary to be indicted tomorrow!!!!!" or " Clinton's Black LOVECHILD" or the smear on Sid Blumenthal?
