sick new pop up - "Are you between 18 & 38 and ready to have some FUN?"
it asks you to type in your name and then takes you here...

http://www.usmilitary.com/scripts/have_fun.php

" (your name here) becomes America's Hero by joining the United States Military. Not to mention acquiring leadership skills that will last a lifetime. "

I got this when I clicked on MSNBC... gross...

Since when is war "FUN"?

1. I got that same pop up.
It said no personal data collected. Yeah right. Even though you make up a name, it has your IP address.

2. Is this how they're getting all those email addresses?
I heard lots of complaints in the last few weeks about the Military having names, grades and email addys of HS seniors.

I'm sure respopnding to this link gives them at least some info.

6. Oh, this quote is a real gem...
"YOUR FIRST VISIT WITH A RECRUITER: FACING THE BEST TRAINED SALESPERSON ON EARTH."

Oh God...please...stop...I can't take it...

Right, like you would buy anything from a sales person who informed you that they were trained to kill people, but chose sales instead.

9. Can we pay for our own anti-recruiter advertising?
I've had enough of this crap.

And can we convince television stations and cable channels to refuse military advertising?

12. That ad is fascinating. I'm going to watch it for updates every second
In fact, I think I'm going to set my browser to "refresh" that page once every second.

Just so I can see if they make any changes or updates, of course.

Would you really trust someone that is fucking stupid enough to click on a popup like that with a gun and/or multi-million dollar machinery?

Then again, anyone with half a brain is staying way the hell away from the US military these days. I suppose the chronically stupid are the last pool of talent they have to draw from.
