3. I was thinking that it is a nice template for one.
I wouldnt be surprised if "For Senate" is changed to "For President" at a later date.

4. Who knows
 But it's a nice site and a nice way for her to keep in touch with not only people who she represents but others as well. I like the video and "Conversations with Hillary" thing. Very nice. Her first one is with the great John Lewis! They're talking about the Supreme Court and civil rights.

7. I wouldn't mind that
Or how about Gore/Clinton if he decides to do any running. That would be kinda funny in a neat way. ;) I'm waiting until 2007 to see if she is running though. So far she appears not to be and has said a few times in interviews that she's concentrating on her Senate seat (smart move I think).

8. That is Already my 2008 Dream Ticket
I heard on Inside Politics that John and Hillary were actually good friends and this ticket may become reality.

I believe if Hillary loses the Primary, and John wins this will be reality.

9. Presidential arguments aside.
She's an amazing Senator. For someone who took a lot of grief for allegedly "carpetbagging," she's as loyal to her state as anyone. And being from upstate NY (though only my family lives there now) I can say that she really does take an interest in the whole state.

11. Interesting. But what we need in 2008 is the reincarnation...
...of La Passionaria -- someone whose words are so powerful they not only set us wildly cheering, but inspire us with the infinite determination we need to back our government: the modern-day equivalent of "!No Pasaran!" I have not seen that side of Hillary, though I hope it is there smoldering, just awaiting the right moment to blaze into flame. Nor have I seen nearly enough of its (male) counterpart in Dean: a sometimes firebrand, yes, though all too often a torch that flares but briefly and then flickers out when the darkness becomes most intense.

12. Hillary is to La Passionaria what Jerry Lewis is to Marlon Brando.
A pygmy next to a giant.

13. Alas, I fear you are right...but we can surely dream. Though...
...I also fear that dream is all we will do, both next year and in 2008. While it is true the grass roots must flourish for victory, it is also true the roots cannot grow strong without the fertilization of proper leadership. That is why we lost in 2000, why we lost in 2002, why we lost in 2004 -- and in sad truth I do not see such leadership anywhere in the horizon. (Though I know enough about history to recognize that even the least likely people do sometimes rise to the occasion.)

By the way: Lewis/Brando -- a superb analogy. Now you understand why I was so offended when Hillary compared herself to Eleanor Roosevelt, the finest, most brilliant First Lady we have ever had in this country. My point -- which now I see I could have made more clearly -- was not that Hillary could be another La Passionaria, but that another La Passionaria is precisely what we need.

I believe a woman presidential candidate could indeed drill the Christofascists and their allies the proverbial new one, but I also believe she will have to be a true firebrand -- a speaker skilled as FDR or JFK, absolutely passionate in her defense of liberty, absolutely relentless in her condemnation of the global oligarchy and all its ruinous schemes.

14. Correction: my first sentence above should read:
"...inspire us with the determination we need to take back our government..."

(Haste makes waste! Once again I was sneaking onto DU between telephone calls. Grrrrrr...)

16. Must be the same outfit that did the Kerry website
It almost is an exact copy in design and colors.

I'm not too fond of the design myself, but it does the job.
