Something I don't get with the Rove stuff

I was just thinking about this and it's so disgusting how all these rightwingers are trying to defend Rove instead of seeking the truth. I wrote about this in my livejournal if you're interested. But what I don't understand is how can they not want the truth? Why do they do all these talking points? If the Bush administration was democratic and Karl Rove was a democrat I wouldn't give a care. I would still want to know the truth. I have gotten some slack before for critizing other democrats but I could really give a damn. If someone does something I don't like I will critize them. If Karl Rove was a democrat I would want to investigate and find out the truth about the ordeal. Heck, I'd expect my fellow party members to find out! All of this is just making me sick. If I was a republican I wouldn't fully support him because we don't know the truth yet. You want to believe your person is innocent but it's better to find out for sure. Of course I wouldn't trust a full republican investigation. I remember on the show "West Wing" when it came out about Martin Sheen's character with-holding information about him having M.S. His press secretary made the comment about how they should get people who dispise them to do the investigation. Not someone who is respected by all people. Then if Karl Rove truly is innocent and they can prove it nobody will question the outcome. Just some thoughts from me.

They know that he is a crook, they just don't care.
The only thing that goes through a freeper's mind is: am I getting what I want? If not, then there is a conspiracy. The only thing that matters to them is that they get their way. that, and they get to see people they don't like get hurt.
