There are two CIAs --- and they are at war with each other… |
|
There is the CIA built by John Foster Dulles – the one that overthrew governments, committed assassinations, and Lord knows what else during the 50s, 60s, and early 70s.
Then there’s the CIA reformed by Frank Church and various ‘Watergate Babies’ in the late 70s. The CIA whose sole mission is to provide accurate information for decision makers. By law, this should be the only CIA.
Unfortunately, we have seen that when the Senate Church Committee ‘reformed’ the CIA, all they did was to force the Dulles CIA further underground and into blacker budgets.
A lot we have seen in the past two years (the outing of Abu Ghraib, Plame, Sy Herch’s articles) tells me these two CIAs are at war. And here’s what’s weird: the attempt to discredit Wilson by tying him to his wife tells me that many in Washington know it and that Rove assumed that the big name reporters side with the Dulles faction.

The other guys are probably in Poppy Bush's little black book. Remember the Bush gang have been stealing elections for years.

3. Then theres the Shackley, Terpil, Wilson, Carlucci "rogue" CIA |
|
that Joe Trento writes about. The one that does most of the black nuclear proliferation, bank scams, and heroin trading, that the "reformed" analytic CIA is supposed to be monitoring and reporting on for the Dulles-Helms-Bush41 Really Big Business CIA.
Where does Tenet fits in all this? Is anyone really in charge? Are they REALLY at war with each other? Interesting questions.

13. I just reread Novak's original column... |
|
In it he implies that Tenet never saw the Wilson report and that "the CIA" (read rogue CIA) never thought it was definitive. http://www.townhall.com/columnists/robertnovak/printrn20030714.shtmlI'm guessing you just don't get to head the CIA if you don't have your sympathies with the Dulles CIA.

21. And that's the CIA Porter Goss comes out of |
|
Google on "Porter Goss" and Shackley and the first hit you get is our very own Demopedia: http://demopedia.democraticunderground.com/index.php/Porter_GossAfter graduating from Yale University and being tapped for <Book and Snakes> in 1960 he served in the United States Army. In 1962 Goss joined the Central Intelligence Agency. Over the next few years he was based at the JM/WAVE, the CIA station in Miami where he worked with people such as Ted Shackley, David Sanchez Morales, Edward Lansdale, William Harvey and Tracy Barnes.

CIA's rank-and-file, on the whole, are good people. The Dulles crowd incorporated Reinhard Gehlen's NAZI Org and were, thus, infiltrated by the Soviets, who had infiltrated Gehlen. These turds and slugs created the giant Soviet menace to keep Dulles and the rest of their Wall Street overturds happy. You might enjoy Joseph Trento's "Secret History of the CIA" and "Prelude to Terror," which flesh this out.

6. Looks like Rover was right - most of the big name reporters are siding |
|
with Rove. A side benefit of his going down will be to see whose team the biggies are playing on.
I bet Bush, Rove & Cheney aren't the only ones in DC sucking down the maalox.

8. CIA and fake terror in the 80's |
|
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=104x4081103#4084857The CIA was making up and planting stories about the USSR as terrorists and some neocons believed the stories and based policy on it - according to the "Power of Nightmares". And then there is Gladio and the CIA (see the rest of the thread).

he described the CIA consisting of "white hats" and "black hats"
good agents trying to stop the bad agents from coaching death squads, starting wars and quashing democracies.
