Understanding freeper spin

Just listening to a discussion on Democracy Now, with Amy Goodman.
The subject was funding and ideology of Public Broadcasting, PBS and NPR.
Freeper stated that all left wing groups are supportive of funding public broadcasting, as if that were a bad thing.
Of course we support public broadcasting!
We support FREE speech in any manner!
The attack against the left for supporting PBS and NPR is an obvious cover for the fact that the right DOES NOT support free speech.
Rather than just get to the bottom of their problem with free speech, they throw an accusation against the opposition and assume that ends the discussion.
Someone needs to tell the freepers that the left is proud to support free speech and that we consider their opposition to it anti American.
