Ted Nugent for Michigan Governor? (Run Ted, run!)
This would just about guarantee a Granholm re-election.

http://www.rockymounttelegram.com/featr/content/shared/entertainment/stories/0711MOTORCITY_MADMAN.html

AUSTIN, Texas — As Motor City Madmen go, Jack White and Eminem have nothing on 57-year-old Ted Nugent.

The self-described "Rosa Parks with a guitar and a raised middle finger" might be bringing his right-wing politics-on-steroids to the Michigan Governor's Mansion.

He's considering a "high-percentage maybe" run for the office. He yells at me his platform, which includes something about "cops that have their legs blown off and soldiers who are in wheelchairs and children with leukemia, who don't get the money because some fat pig welfare brat is sitting on his worthless (expletive.)"

cut

On why he sports the Confederate flag at his concerts:

"(It's) a historical symbol of a lifestyle and a freedom and an independence below the Mason-Dixon line that many great men and women gave up their lives for during the Civil War. To me, it represents a certain defiance against federalism, a certain defiance against other people telling you how to live your life. And I wear it because I'm a big fan of defiance."

(Please say this on the campaign trail in Michigan, Ted. Michigan, home of part of the old Iron Brigade, home of a state with tens of thousands of dead Union soldiers and their families. Bring it on punk.)

Like I believe him... I personally think his deal was speed. No mellow, laid back pot, or mind-expanding LSD for him. Nope..."full speed ahead, damn the torpedoes, where's that goddam white whale, anyway?"

18. Ya but...He moved to Crawford Texas...
'Nugent -- who says he supports President Bush "100 percent" -- says his new home is "right around the corner" from Bush's ranch. Nugent is also working with the Texas fish and game department, where he writes for a state publication on bowhunting.'

He tied his boat very tight to Bush's sinking ship, running for office in a blue state is absurd at this point.

Or maybe because your Neocon buddies are robbing this country blind, you flaming nutball.

Thinks he's a tough guy.

"Catching bullets with his teeth... N--- please."

He's as freakin crazy as Ann Coulter...and damn near as scary looking.

11. Never happen.
He's really not all that well liked in Michigan anyways, despite what he may think.

I recently visited his website and posted some insults to him on his forum (Praise Jeebus that the embarrassment known as Ted Nugent has finally left Michigan - let's hope for good! And now they'll be 2 village idiots in Crawford! etc, etc.) and the Nuge took the bait.

Needless to say a small flame war erupted between me and him (him calling me a Michael Moore lover, etc and me asking him what his cerebellum augmentation operation date was so I could send him flowers, etc)

It was very amusing and highly recommended if you're ever really bored. He moderates his boards and is easy to lure out, though you'll be banned pretty quick.

17. Remember when Ted Nugent fathered a child while married to another woman?
And that after claiming he was Mr. big conservative family man. Yeah, some family man. Fucking around on your wife. Great guy you are Ted. Then you ignored your child. Your own flesh and blood, Mr. Conservative family man. You ignored your child for years, even when the mother was asking you to pay your morally obligated child support, Mr. family man. You wouldn't even support your own child. Then, when the parent that loves the child petitioned the court for child support, your responded by filing for full custody of your child, Mr. family man. Full custody of the child you'd never met. Not in the first seven years of it's life, had you ever even laid eyes on your own child, let alone done anything to raise it and protect it in this world. Some family man. I'm guessing morality won't be in your platform?

19. Ted's Waco concert Monday
"Troops had orders from Ted Nugent to knock down anyone who didn't say the Pledge of Allegiance at the rocker's concert Monday night at the Waco Hippodrome.

“If they ain't saying anything, just go ahead and knock 'em down. You may resuscitate them immediately,” Nugent said to laughter during a meet-and-greet with soldiers prior to the show. Nugent gave 100 tickets to area troops so they could see his performance, and he handed out guitar picks to several soldiers to express his thanks. "

http://www.wacotrib.com/news/content/news/stories/2005/07/12/20050712wacnugentshow.html

He goes on talking about how he is a "Blood Brother" to the troops. I guess he forgot about that shitty pants episode during Vietnam.

In Texas we are going through a special session of the legislature. One of the things is reforming the tax system. Most of the ideas talk about raising the sales tax and lowering the property tax. One of the plans put out by the Texas house would only give net tax cuts to those making over $140,000 a year. This from the Legislative Budget Board in Texas. So Mister " I can't keep my pecker pocketed so I have to pay $3500 a month" gets a tax cut while the vast majority of Texans will see their net taxes go up.

My message to Ted would be when your country called you did not answer. After marriage you continued to fuck every thing in a Little tight skirt that you could find so that you pay more in child support in a year the the median income of the average Waco resident. (429,000 a year). You are not a man but a coward and a slave to your penis

She is kind of getting fucked right now - 3 terms of Engler really helped to fuck up this state, and the Republican state house isn't helping her accomplish anything...she is getting blamed by a lot of people.

But her competition looks pretty pathetic. Plus, she's a mesmerizing babe, IMHO, when she speaks.

on edit: I really don't mean 'mesmerizing babe' in a sexual or sexist way - it's hard to explain but I find her sort of hypnotizing.

There's a few thousand of 'em here, probably. Add in the brain-dead, three-chord rock and roll fans and he'll still go down like Jeff Gannon on a White House official.

29. Ted Nugent got out of Vietnam draft by cramming peanut butter up his ass.
Edited on Tue Jul-12-05 10:24 PM by Octafish
He showed up the draft board and bent over.

I wonder why Tom Delay's photo op at the NRA speech was him holding an antique muzzle loading Kentucky Rifle. A prop more representative of the NRA's agenda would have been the Barrett .50 caliber or an AK-47. As far as Ted Nugent is concerned? He is a draft dodging, pedophile hypocrite. earlier at the gathering, rock musician and gun-rights advocate Ted Nugent urged NRA members to be "hardcore, radical extremists demanding the right to self defense'' and to work daily to recruit new members.

Here's a quote from ole Ted when asked about how he managed to stay out of Viet Nam when his country called on him to serve:

"He claims that 30 days before his draft board physical, he stopped all forms of personal hygiene. The last 10 days, he ingested nothing but Vienna sausages and Pepsi; and a week before his physical, he stopped using bathrooms altogether, virtually living inside pants caked with his own excrement, stained by his urine. That spectacle won Nugent a deferment, he says. ‘... but if I would have gone over there, I'd have been killed, or I'd have killed, or I'd killed all the hippies in the foxholes...I would have killed everybody.’” -- Detroit Free Press Magazine, July 15, 1990"

You see, son, Ole Ted likes shooting and killing, but he doesn't shoot at anything that could shoot back at him.

Typical radical republican chickenhawk.

Ted only shoots and kills beings that cannot shoot back at him.

32. The thing of it is, I think *I* could take him in a fist-fight!
He swaggers around, fondling his little gun, and thinks he's some sort of macho man. Put the gun down, Ted, and this cranky Yankee, a middle-aged lady who sits at a desk all day, could kick your ass up and down the block. I mean, it's almost like a drag act that he does, so over-the-top it borders on camp or parody.
