Leak Was Politically Motivated, NBC Says
By Susan Jones
CNSNews.com Senior Editor
July 13, 2005

(CNSNews.com) - NBC Nightly News anchor Brian Williams told viewers Tuesday night that the leak of a CIA agent's name was "politically motivated."

Introducing a report by NBC Correspondent David Gregory, Williams said, "In Washington today, more fireworks in the White House daily briefing over the role of one of the president's very top advisers in the politically motivated leak of a CIA agent's identity."

A grand jury is still investigating the leak to find out if it rises to the level of a criminal offense; and so far, it's not at all clear if the leak was politically motivated, although Bush administration critics insist that it was.

It's also not clear if anyone other than Karl Rove mentioned "Wilson's wife" (CIA agent Valerie Plame) to reporters.

5. Blatant Propaganda from a Neocon "News Service"
The Cybercast News Service was launched on June 16, 1998 as a news source for individuals, news organizations and broadcasters who put a higher premium on balance than spin and seek news that’s ignored or under-reported as a result of media bias by omission.

Study after study by the Media Research Center, the parent organization of CNSNews.com, clearly demonstrate a liberal bias in many news outlets – bias by commission and bias by omission – that results in a frequent double-standard in editorial decisions on what constitutes "news."

In response to these shortcomings, MRC Chairman L. Brent Bozell III founded CNSNews.com in an effort to provide an alternative news source that would cover stories that are subject to the bias of omission and report on other news subject to bias by commission.

CNSNews is just more stench from the cesspool of Neocon lies and corruption.

9.  "it's not at all clear if the leak was politically motivated,"
Hmmm, what other purpose could there have been. I don't mean to be obtuse here but I fail to recognize any other motive. Maybe someone could explain to me what other motive there could be for this other than politics.

13. Well, if it wasn't politically motivated
then that only leaves the 'killing a sting operation' for motivation.

That 'killing a sting operation' would refer to Cheney previously being the CEO of Halliburton, that has been fined $1.2M for supplying critical components to A. Q. Khan's Pakastani nuclear program in 1989, which was clearly against the nu7clear proliferation laws of this land. Khan by the way went on to supply N. Korea and Iran with nuclear expertise.

Thus I would think Cheney would welcome the idea that them 'outing' Plame was just for political reasons, rather than trying to cover, like a cat burying shit on concrete, their treasonous corporate transactions in WMD technology.
