How Bush will dodge the bullet |
|
Fire Rove as DCS on the public payroll, then rehire him on the political side using GOP (corporate) money. He keeps his word and still keeps Rove.

2. Yeah, and this will make the hard core Rethuglicans |
|
like Rep. King (NY) happy. But reasonable people will see that Bush likes hanging out with criminals and he'll have a credibility problem for as long as the MSM keeps it in the news. It would be great, especially when Rove has to resign to go to prison.

5. It is a dangerous strategy |
|
that will not sit well with moderates, but for it to fail the press must be relentless and the moderates and the Vichy Dems must find a spine.
I have major doubt about the press. Yes, they have shown some agression lately, but how hard is it to be brave when you are attacking as a mob? Once the Halliburton white house starts attacking back (with help from the Limbuagh/Fox crowd), they will cringe back into their role as obedient puppies.
As for the Vichy Dems, all it will take is a major offensive by the right-wing press and their pollsters will sound retreat. Mayor Lindsay and Joe Biden will attack the party for smearing a loyal American for political gain.
Perhaps they will surprise me, but that has been their strategy to date.

4. Rove sitting in front of Airforce One |

Campaign 2004 picture may be timely now. I suppose that would be the time Rove told Bush he couldn't win fair and square and definitely not get a smidgen of a real mandate without bold tabulation cheating.
Anyone have that pic?
