Fox News wants to give KKKarl a medal for being treasonous
Edited on Wed Jul-13-05 11:15 AM by sjr5740
I say give Karl Rove a medal, even if Bush has to fire him.

Why? Because Valerie Plame should have been outed by somebody. And if nobody else had the cojones to do it, I'm glad Rove did — if he did do it, and he still says he didn't.

...snip...

So why should Rove get a medal?

Let's just assume that spy Valerie Plame knew her husband's attitudes about the war in Iraq and George W. Bush's policies. Sending him off to Niger could be regarded as an attempt to influence national policies.

Read the whole thing the logic is as circular as *'s justification for war. Makes me want to :puke:

BTW this is the same guy who carries around a gas mask everywhere he goes..

Here's the background: I've been carrying a gas mask in my briefcase for three years now. Frankly, I'm sick of hauling the thing around. But I ride New York's subways and, if anything, the London bombings proved that all of us subway riders should have gasmasks and a flashlight.

SJR

I must admit though. It is a guilty pleasure of mine to read his ravings. Its kinda like looking at an accident. You know you shouldn't but you just gotta.

16. annnnnnnnnnnd here it is
Mr, Gibson

Congradulations, you have written the most ignorant story that I have read in months.

<snip>
"I say give Karl Rove a medal, even if Bush has to fire him."

"Why? Because Valerie Plame should have been outed by somebody. And if nobody else had the cojones to do it, I'm glad Rove did — if he did do it, and he still says he didn't."
...snip...

"So why should Rove get a medal?"

"Let's just assume that spy Valerie Plame knew her husband's attitudes about the war in Iraq and George W. Bush's policies. Sending him off to Niger could be regarded as an attempt to influence national policies."
<snip>

How about those who got murdered due to his disclosure? How about the 2,000 American lives lost due to a bogus justification for an illegal war? How about the over 220 BILLION dollars spent on a war that did not need to be fought, and one we cannot get out of.

And WE have no right to "attempt to influence national policies"? You dildo, just because someone hears voices and talks to imaginary friends does not qualinfy him to run our nation unquestioned. Or to write news stories for that matter.

You should be fired.

5. The assumptions are so deep, they're barely noticable.
So... lemme see if I got this chap's point of view...

It's not ok to send someone out on a fact-finding mission if they disagree with the President?

But it's ok for the President to make up stuff to squeeze HIS opinions into OUR policy?

The gas mask bit just cracks me up. If he wants to carry one at all times, that's actually fine by me. We all need to judge our risks without blindly going along with the crowd.

But if he's isn't practicing with it at least weekly so he can get it on in a hurry, under stress, in a dark and crowded place, then he's a total poser.

12. wow, I want to spit. particularly regarding this line:
You wouldn't send a peacenik to see if we should go to war, if we need to go to war, now would you?

1. Being anti-IW2 isn't necessarily being a peacenik...

2. I'm wondering why WE needed to go to war. BUSH needed to go to war so he could get re-elected. AMERICA as a country had absolutely no reason to go.

I'm wondering how someone as smart as Eric Alterman can be friends with such a dumbass...

14. It's like chocolate
Sometimes you just need to go to war. It's a need that you feel. Sort of like chocolate. Sometimes you just need to eat chocolate.

18. So going to war is kind of America's response to emotional stress
much like people who eat high sugar and high fat foods to handle whatever depressing situation they're presently embroiled in?

13. I sent Gibson the following message:
Let me get this straight. If Karl Rove is lying, THEN he deserves a medal. Funny, during its relentless pursuit of Bill Clinton, the right-wing noise machine (read FoxNews) claimed that it wasn't about sex, it was all about lying. Now, apparently, lying is a trait much to be admired. Please, keep those columns coming, Mr. Gibson. FoxNews may still have a few shreds of credibility that you haven't already pissed away.
Sincerely,
